Our stay at Hotel Sunny Sölden in Austria was truly delightful. The hotel’s location was perfect for us; it was not directly onto the main street, which we preferred, yet it was still a short walk to the lift up to the ski area. We appreciated the flexibility of dining without needing to book in advance, and it was incredibly convenient to order dinner during breakfast each day. The food exceeded our expectations in every way. Each meal was delicious, beautifully presented, and satisfying, ensuring we never felt hungry during the day or before bed. The service was exceptional, with attentive waitstaff in the restaurant and meticulous housekeeping. It was a pleasant surprise to see how the maids went the extra mile with bed-making and additional cleaning. A unique and charming feature of the hotel was the presence of pigs, which were well cared for and very clean. This added a fun and memorable touch to our stay. Additionally, everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the spa facilities, which were a perfect way to relax after a day on the slopes.

No nothing comes to mind

Great location, good food and attentive staff. Every staff member was an individual character which added to the colour of the holiday. Easy access to the lifts and quiet in the evenings but with easy access to the town for anyone wanting nightlife. Great fondue restaurant as an alternative to the included food (extra charge) made for a special evening with the family.

It’s rare that I can’t find something to say that would improve the experience. The convention in the sauna area was for everyone to be naked, which is typical in Austria and gives us Brits an issue but that’s a cultural thing rather than a hotel thing. So, no, there was nothing I didn’t like.

Breakfast buffet was great. Dinners good. Staff helpful and friendly. Our room was very nice, with a balcony and a view of the village and the mountains. A bonus was the presence of the 2 pet mini-pigs with an inside glass enclosure to view them, and an outside "paddock"

Charging for tap water at dinner, except when you bought a bottle of wine. Why so hot in the dining room?! Soundproofing between rooms not great (so we were lucky that the next room was empty most of our stay!)

Great location - right opposite the Giggijochbahn. We stayed in the family room, which was really spacious with two separate bedrooms and a living room. The property was very neat and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had the half board option - the food was really fantastic

Nothing we could think of

The hotel is in quiet area, across the stream from the valley's main road. It's right across from the Giggijochbahn lift, reachable in 10 minutes by foot over the nearby bridge, which also leads to the main promenade of the Sölden village with bars and restaurants. Awesome views from the room to the Ötztal valley. The family room was spacious, with 2 bedrooms (queen bed in each), lounge area and 2 more single beds in the attic above the main room. The hotel has ski storage and underground parking, 4 saunas and a pool. Great breakfast, and exceptional dinner

Very friendly staff, very nice atmosphere, beautiful view, great saunas and swimming pool, very tasty dishes, very clean.

Small dinner portions for men, old mattresses which have their life long over, squeaky beds, not very comfy shower head, a bit old fashioned.

The location was very good. The food was delicious and the service was very good. The staff was helpful and very friendly. The spa was nice and clean. I can recommend this hotel for sure!

The only thing I think they can improve are the beds.

We loved our stay at Hotel Sunny Solden. The staff (in particular the waiting staff) were fantastic and attentive to all our needs. The evening meal was exceptional each night and exceeded all our expectations (5 courses!). The spa and sauna facilities were also very good and perfect after a long day skiing.

It wasn't clear when we booked our stay that the hotel doesn't serve an evening meal on the Tuesday night. They did instead give us a 20 Euro refund on our bill.

Excellent staff made our stay extra special. Great wine locally produced by Arno and meals very good. Hotel pets were so cute (piggies Valentina and Specky) and would definitely recommend to anyone. Exceptional views with fabulous pool and relaxing arera.

Five minute walk from Giggijoch cable car. The pool and saunas are excellent. Good dining experience. Piggies!

Room doors close quite loudly, could hear other guests in their room. Pillows could be plumper.
