If you are looking for a single or double room, Room 105 has a good shower, a good layout and is comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Room service made something that was not on the menu when I requested it. The simple omelette and parota were very delicious. Uber does not work well in Sylhet. They also helped me catch a rickshaw in front of the hotel. (Otherwise foreigners may be charged more than double the price.) Incidentally, the hotel lift is amazing. I thought it was stopped, but it was moving. It was the first time in my life that I rode in a lift with such little vibration.

There was a window in the room, but it was so close to a next building that there was no natural light, and it was hard to tell what the weather was like. I couldn't even open the curtains.I still think it's a good price though.

Grand Hotel: first & foremost, the staff are wonderful. I'd booked in for 3 nights, thinking just to chill out in Sylhet, get a shave, shop for shirts, seek out some mean mango lassis, wolf great curry (Woondaal fits the bill) while watching Cricket World Cup. After charging around most corners of Bang over the past fortnight, a gentle endgame. Of course I didn't predict a 3-day protest, no transport, so had to flee on the midnight bus to Dhaka lest I be trapped & miss my flight back to India. Anyways, they refunded my last night with no quibbles. Plain honest-to-goodness humanity. (All the bus booking offices are less than a minute away in the street just opposite.) Location easy to find beside the Noorjahan Hospital Tower as a landmark, easy walk up from the main bazaars, in a clean safe area of town (not that Sylhet, though busy, is anywhere near the traffic choke of Dhaka or Chittagong, both of which felt safe - apart from crossing the road - anyway.) Exceptional value, clean & clean-cut style; room large pleasantly furnished, comfortable bed, en suite bathroom fine, WiFi strong. What was an unexpected bonus was breakfast in bed: milk tea, tasty aloo dahl with parathas, served with a cheery smile. Thank you much, good people. Just a pity I couldn't have stayed longer, as planned. But that's the best laid schemes of travel for you.

What's not to love?

They are so mature and friendly, whenever i knocked them their staffs were ready to serve us. So polite and educated they are, which is really rare to watch.

Actually i was reached before their check-in time, i told them to manage me a room so that i could get fresh and take some rest. Somehow they managed but its too little too late. Otherwise their other services more pleasent. I obviously suggest people to stay there.

The complimentary breakfast was good, what I liked most. Staffs are very friendly. One of the staff arranged a rent for me a CNG within a reasonable price for a full day.

The mattress is so hard, it should be replaced with good quality. The wall of the hotel about to be dumped requires repair. The Cleanness of the room corner should improved.

breakfast very good and free.i went 2nd time.if you go 1st and then next any time by booking.com .they hotel give you more 10% discount.and no need to any advance.but you must tell them after reserve on boooimg.com and go hotel and tell them first and then enter room.thier staff very good and clean all.and excellent location.

The affordability and the convenience for being in the city centre. The room service was also very decent and fast.

One room had an air conditioner and the other one didn't have it. The mattresses were really hard and uncomfortable to sleep. One room had a bad smell.

The location was so perfect to move anywhere from the hotel. The staff's behaviour was very good. Geezer ac all were working perfectly. They provide toothbrushes as well .

There was a complimentary breakfast. But it was cold. If they fix that problem it will be very helpful. They need to change their dish Provider. There were only some channels that I didn't like.

Breakfast and Tea was good. Place was clean and cozy. Overall, I had good experience with my stay at Grand Hotel.

I saw some stains at bedsheets and blankets. Which was a huge turn around for me.

1. I saw a bed bug, which was disgusting. 2. A token money as pre payment is required for the booking, whis is not mentioned in the terms & conditions on booking.com but mentioned in the confirmation mail. So you must have to check e mail.
