The property is ideal for a visit to bustling Bruges where people and parking can make the prospect of a visit, daunting. It is situated an easy and short drive from the city where, just outside the historical centre, parking is plentiful. A wonderful breakfast is provided and when a breather is required, one can relax in the lush garden. The rooms are classy and comfortable and the host - Joaquin, is most accommodating - sharing information re. the area and providing advice, if needed.

Lovely place with a warm atmosphere. The host was very helpful and kind, gave us suggestions and was also very nice when we asked for something more for our room. The hotel is just outside Bruges but in can be easily reached by bus and the stop is just outside the hotel. For us it’s been great because we had our bicycles and every time we found a new different cycle path to go back and forth.

Our room had a small bathroom, which is not a problem, but I would have liked to have some more hanging hooks for the towels and our stuff so to take full advantage of the little space

The owner of the hotel met us on site and was incredibly helpful with all questions we had about the area. Breakfast was very good and served in a quaint solarium. He even went so far as to provide a take away meal when our departure reservations occurred before breakfast was served.

While an elevator would have been helpful to transport bags to our second floor room, it also would detract from the decor and ambiance of the building.

Beautiful Hotel, full of original character and a beautiful orangery where we ate our delicious breakfast which was continental . Very good parking outside, lovely gardens , host was very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much problem

Breakfast-wow! Pain perdu- so good. Fresh home baked bread. Hard boiled eggs, croissants and pain au chocolate, cheeses and meat selection. Honesty bar- lovely Bedrooms, so pretty decor, comfortable. Great night's sleep. Host and staff absolutely lovely. Can't wait to return.

Be aware, rather steep stairs, if you have limited mobility. Otherwise it was charming in every way.

The house and especially the breakfast room are gorgeous The staff is very kind and helpful When we arrived we were greeted by two of the owners who told us about the place's history and gave us a tour of the facilities There was enough free parking for all the guests Our room (the only family room in the hotel) was located in the top floor and there is no elevator (it is a 200 years old house) so the climb was a bit of a challenge Breakfast was very good and very pleasant music was playing Checkout was swift

Couldn't find anything that was less than expected.

We had an amazing stay at Vredehof. The hotel is clean, the room was very comfortable, good bed and great shower. Lovely selection on breakfast. The hotel is just a short drive to Brugge, but also has a bus stop opposite the hotel which takes you to Brugge city centre.Free parking spaces. The host was very friendly and very welcoming. I definitely recommend the hotel.

We stayed here for an evening on a roadtrip through France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. We arrived after check in time but the hosts provided us very clear instructions for getting ourselves checked in. The hosts are very responsive and kind. The room was fine for an overnight stay. Breakfast was nice to get our day started in the morning.

The lighting in the bedroom is very harsh and no table lamps for gentler lighting at night. Because of the layout- no room to put a side table on the side of the bed by the bathroom in the room we stayed in.

This little historical gem was both beautiful and charming. The owners were super helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious with comfortable beds. Breakfast was a wonderful way to start our day with plenty of options. Will definitely come back when in the area.
