Super quiet. We had a room on the back, garden side (the “red room”) so not sure if all rooms are quiet but ours certainly was. Breakfast was wonderful - made to order eggs and bacon, pastries, bread and rolls, jam and peanut butter, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal!

Not a problem because we had a car but is several miles away from the main historical center.

This little gem in Cairo will take you back to the colonial period when British expats enjoyed the city - it is nostalgic because furniture is placed as though people live there. You get the real feel of the home. And it is melancholy because we know the cost of the colonial period. Really do not miss staying here to understand a part of Egypt's history.

Staff are amazingly accommodating and so professional. The food is excellent - from pizza to breakfast to a fancy dinner. I also really enjoyed the swimming pool, and after dinner service started I used the pool next door.

The host was super friendly. Location for us was perfect as we went to durbuy adventure park. There are very good restaurants in walking distance as well. The garden of this property was also amazing and there is private parking at the back. Breakfast was just the cherry on the cake. Amazing.

It's an older house which might not be for everyone but we loved it. It has lots of charm.

The rooms could be a bit cleaner. On our particular night we had problems with mosquitoes. The windows do not have screens, as it is a beautiful period home.

Caro is an amazing host and we really enjoyed staying here. Breakfast was super good and you could ask for more if you want, although it was already big enough :)) The area is nice, both Barvaux and Durbuy, totally worth visiting.

We booked the holiday home and that one at least has a stove/fire place which is nice and makes it really hot in the living room. However, the bedroom was upstairs and even if we set the temperature higher it was not a big difference. It also depends on how hot you want it to be, for us it was probably on the verge. Also, you need to add the pelets in the stove yourself, which is a bit of an inconvenient during the night. Because of this I have to say that price/quality was a little bit unbalanced, but still we felt really good.

Nothing to fault about our stay here! The property is beautiful and has a lot of character. The breakfast was delicious and Jeremie was very welcoming and made us feel at home.

Caro is the friendliest host you could ever meet, and she pays very much attention to details, we would definitely stay here again :)
