The hosts were super friendly, very welcoming and extremely helpful. Despite our woeful French but their reasonable English, we managed to communicate successfully with each other most of the time. They recommended a restaurant for dinner which was superb. The room is upstairs in their home. It was a spacious room with an extra single bed. There were shared tea and coffee making facilities and a shared lounge area. We slept well. As other reviewers have said, breakfast here is fantastic. There was a huge choice of items for a lovely continental breakfast - all tasty and really enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.

The owners serve a delicious breakfast with several quality products produced by local farmers: meat, eggs, cheese,... The breakfast is served on a glazed terrace at a height where you have a magnificent view of the hills and can spot births (I was lucky to have seen the common blackbird (from which the name of the house 'Le chant du Merle' is derived) and swallows (which I have not seen soo many since my youth). If I would not have a further commitment, I would have spent my whole morning sitting at that nice location and watching nature from there or reading a book. Ideal location for hiking and cycling. The bedroom is very quiet and I have not slept better this year. I would definitely go back another time.

Very comfortable and traditional property,with lovely hosts. Wonderful breakfast,great views. Parking available. The hosts did everything they could to make us feel at home. It was fabulous.

Beautiful village location, our hosts were very friendly and helpful, even booked a restaurant for us. The room and bed were very comfortable and as it was a hot day we were provided with a fan. Breakfast had lots of choices of cheeses, meat, bread and pastries, jam and local honey. We made to feel very welcome and would book again any time.

When we arrived at the accommodation, the reception was very friendly. The room was clean and fully met our needs. Breakfast very good and fresh rolls were warm. It was served on a covered terrace with beautiful views. If we come to the same area, we will come here again.

Great breakfast. Very friendly people, who helped us make a booking at the Chinese restaurant in Bertix. Would certainly recommend it!

The hosts, Nadine and Jules, are lovely and extremely helpful and accomodating. The rooms and their facilities were very good. It is a very quiet area but only five minutes drive to a nice small town. The breakfast was wonderful.

The water pressure in the shower was a little low but adequate. My wife found the pillow a bit high.
