The room was well-equipped with a small fridge, microwave, kettle, fans, TV, WI-FI and A/C. The beds were very comfortable with good support and a mattress topper. It was a short walk over the bridge into town so it’s very conveniently located with a small supermarket just opposite, a local takeaway restaurant and a laundromat downstairs. Mike and staff were friendly, helpful and very responsive to any queries or requests for advice. I would definitely stay at Maxroomz again, and I would highly recommend it, especially as it’s more affordable and more well-equipped than most similar properties.

If I had any problems with the accommodation, I asked or messaged Mike who was able to sort it out quickly so I have no complaints 😃

The location was excellent. Mykal was fabulous. He provided lots of information about where to go and do, what to see, and where to eat. He helped us all along the way, even trying to help us with a cell phone connectivity issue. They had put a memory foam topper on the bed, and Mykal checked with us to see how the comfort level was with the topper. This was all in an effort make the beds more comfortable in all their rooms. The bed with topper was great.

There was no hot water at the bathroom sink, and the drawers in the wardrobe were dirty enough that we didn't feel comfortable putting our clothes in them. We ended up just living out of our suitcases.

Friendly, responsive host. Close to city market. Good Belizean food downstairs. Clean and comfy shared seating area and upstairs patio and balcony. Cold AC, fans, Hot shower, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, iron and ironing board. Grocery store across street. Walk to ATM. Good value for a base in walking distance to city and attractions close by.

It would be nice to supply a guest coffee cup and electric water kettle for tea.

Just over the bridge from the main centre, MaxRoomz was a short walk away from all the bars and restaurants but in a quiet location, with parking. The room was large and well equipped, with a fridge, TV, microwave and free Wi-Fi. There was cold water and even free fruit on offer in reception. We appreciated all the information about places to visit locally.

No complaints.

Location close to town. Coffee maker, fridge, A/C, laundry, everything you needed. Mike and staff were excellent. Very helpful and if you needed anything they made it happen.

I wasn't too keen on the stairs to the upper deck. The deck itself is under repairs but still a quiet and private place to sit.

Amazing location, just round the corner from the town centre and the 'touristy' bit, which with the price makes it really good value. Michael the host was great, he gave us all the help and info we needed. The other staff were great too, I didn't catch his name but the guy cleaning in the morning gave us amazing insights about the way people think of thier history here. Everyone is incredibly friendly, like almost everyone in the town here are to tourists People stopped us in the street just to ask how we liked it and to make sure we came back! The place itself is also above a street food style eatery and electronics shop, and there's a supermarket opposite. They were happy to let us leave our bags after check out. Otherwise we were left entirely to our own devices, so you could talk as much or as little as you liked.

There were ants in the bathroom, but it's the middle of the rainforest, and we could see they were cleaning everyday so it feels very harsh to say, but want to be honest.

Excellent location by the bridge to take you to town. There are some food options close by if you didn’t want to go into town. Max/Mike was very helpful with anything I needed. I had an amazing 5 night stay in the spacious room! There is a fridge, microwave and kettle. The kitchen is being renovated so I was unable to use that.

I love Mike, the owner. he’s friendly, helpful, and a good all round legend. He took me out for delicious, cheap local food at a little local food location I doubt I’d have found without his help. it became my fav place to eat! The room is clean, the aircon works great, and the wifi was nice and fast. There were some internet outages, but these were with the internet company and most of the town had them at the same time so not the fault of Max Rooms. I loved the 6 minute walk across the bridge to San Ignacio. the location is great because it’s a bit quieter than the main San Ignacio town so I got better sleeps.

Given the price I paid, nothing. it’s great value for a budget place.

We had a lovely stay at Maxroomz. The building is well located and features a terrace where you can have your dinner. The owner is very friendly and helpful. He let us use the kitchen and gave us access to a water tank, which was extremely convenient. Thanks :)

Everything, it was Cozy, spacious plenty of room to spread out back packs. Hot water, clean, excellent aircon & fan. Soft pillows & bed we slept on a cloud. Kitchen facility’s. close to shops just a walk over the bridge. Supermarket across the road & laundromat right next door. Mykal the operator is excellent.
