This hotel is truly amazing! The room was warm and clean, and the location was super convenient. But what touched me the most was the front desk staff, David — he was incredibly kind, patient, and empathetic. I arrived feeling a bit tired and uneasy, but he welcomed me warmly, helped me with my luggage, recommended great nearby restaurants and places to visit, and even drew me a map. When I ran into a few issues, he immediately helped me sort everything out. Although I only stayed for one night, I truly felt the warmth of home and a level of genuine care that’s rare to find while traveling. Highly recommended!

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was good, hot shower, clean, large bedroom. Breakfast was more complete than most breakfasts I’ve had in similar hotels in South America (it had oats, cereals, yogurt, fruits, eggs, avocado, ham, cheese, toast, cakes etc). Good location too, within walking distance to pretty much everything in the center and a 10min ride to the mines.

Everything was good but the rooms could have been more sound proof (very loud patio when people walked through). Had the ground floor room with windows which maybe didn’t help.

I requested a room with a view of Cerro Rico, and was given an exceptional room that exceeded my wishes. Ana, the daughter of the owner, was nearly always present, and helped us throughout our stay, even making sure we could arrive in spite of a tranca. The hotel is new, the room was large yet warm at night, and the location excellent, close to the town centre and also a supermarket. Breakfast was ample and varied, and staff all very attentive to our needs. Beds were comfortable, street noise at night quieter than close to the center, all very clean. At night they can prepare very satisfying sandwiches. Wonderful stay.

Absolutely beautiful property in the heart of Potosi. The lobby and common areas are so clean and pretty. The room was incredible with extremely comfortable beds with soft bedding. Large armchair in the room and table as well. Great shower with amazing pressure and hot water. Breakfast buffet was excellent and varied from day to day. Quiet for a good sleep and close to the main plaza. A real highlight of our time in South America.

Very well appointed and comfortable hotel in the heart of Potosi. Accommodating & helpful staff, clean nd comfortable rooms. Attractive building with a roof terrace.

The only difficulty (which, to be clear is NOT the fault of the hotel or the staff) was that my Spanish was not good and the English of many there was such that it could be a bit tricky, but we got there in the end! I am not saying this to criticize the hotel, but to alert guests to make sure their Spanish is sufficient!

This place was far, far better than the pictures here would lead one to believe. Very clean, centrally located hotel with competent staff. Fantastic shower without the long wait for hot water and very comfortable bed. Helpful (non-English speaking) staff at front desk and decent breakfast.

Virreyes Hotel would easily rate a "10" if the builder and architect had thought of soundproofing!

I arrived late night and they were very friendly and supportive. I got sickness altitude so spent majority of the time at the hotel. Thanks to my Genius status I was upgraded to a suite which I loved it! Room was spacious and beautiful, comfortable and with great views of the town. I ordered breakfast to the room, it was amazing, lots of breads, eggs, fruit juice, coffee, etc.

At least on a Sunday, they didn´t have enough options for lunch/diner.

Very helpful staff - they permitted a no-cost early check-in and late chrck-out, and helped with booking a tour Really nice room - quite plain but generally well designed (could have done with slightly more sockets by the bed) Reasonable choice at breakfast. Really close to the city centre in a beautiful old building

Potosi is a place of extremes: the good, the bad and the ugly. This hotel was an ideal place to process all the experiences of the day. The beds were good and the facilities well kept. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I recommend this hotel!

The location isnt the most scenic, but then again not much in Potosí really is...

It is shorter to say what I did not like. The breakfast was amazing and the staff was very friendly.

Sadly we some of us had really bad troubles and we had to leave a day early and they charged us full price even if there was something that I read you could pay a bit less on the website. Since I was myself not doing well I did not pay attention at the time and never got a reply from booking either. However I would like to say that otherwise it was amazing.
