The service from the staff was exceptional. The chef went above and beyond by preparing porridge for my daughter. Lulu, Wame, and Karabo ensured that we were well taken care of throughout our stay. I also thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails and the delicious beef seswa.

The place appears worn and neglected. Consider refurbishing the lodge and tending to the garden to bring back its original charm. Despite its current state, traces of its past beauty are still evident, hinting at a once serene and inviting retreat. With proper care and attention, it has the potential to transform into a stunning and welcoming haven once more.

Location is a little way out of town but worth it for the walking trails and birdwatching over the river (dry when we went but still plenty to see with binoculars!). Staff were friendly and helpful, and it is a simple trip into Maun using their taxi contacts. Definitely worth getting a local sim-card if you can for convenience here. Room was clean, with hot water and bed nets. There was air conditioning and two pools but we didn't use these due to the winter season. Gardens are lovely too.

Nothing really. As with any trip to the region, expect service to be a little slower, and maybe embrace the slower way of life before rushing back to the office >D

Location, facilities, staff outstanding. 3rd time in Botswana - Without question the best hotel/resort. Big shout out to the Staff. Because it's they who made the stay extra special. They are incredibly nice, professional and simply lovely people. I was fortunate enough to speak with the resort manager as he was doing his rounds. Never had that experience before in any hotel, irrespective of location. So here's a huge 🙌👊 to everyone at the resort for demonstrating world class customer service.

Totally loved this place. It's not the poshest but still superb. The price is so good. The food was very tasty. Loved the fact that it's in a huge enclosed area, acres and acres of safe footpaths to walk around. It was very dry when we went in June after 2 years of hardly any rain. But the gardeners worked really hard to maintain the grounds which were spacious and quiet. I have to mention the resident guide who's name is Broken was just great. Went on a couple of trips with him. He really looked after us, his knowledge is incredible, very friendly, cares a lot about wildlife and so easy to get on with.

Nothing this place has a big heart.

The place is in a lovely quiet place close to Maun. No traffic noise, view to the river (rather dry when we were there, but nice and green. Large trees shading the whole property. Two clean pools. Bar and restaurant, food is fine. Large, simple, comfortable chalets with comfortable beds and ensuite, A/C, mosquitonet, coffee/tea. Clean.

We got the out of season rates on arrival, but next day the receptionist raised the prices, apparently the owners had raised the prices without her knowledge. I tried to reason with her that a deal is a deal, but no luck. Checked the price on Booking.com and found a cheaper price than the new price and including breakfast, so paid the agreed rate for the first night and bought the second night online. Problem solved, but a little irritating. Restaurant nice, but service takes f-o-r-e-v-e-r... Even getting a drink, not to mention food. Prepare yourself, maybe bring a snack while you wait for the food!

Due to problems with our 4x4 in Moremi we ended up booking into Island Safari on three separate dates. Staff are very helpful and onsite restaurant in keeping with local restaurants.

As I mentioned we stayed on three occasions in different rooms and the quality is variable. Our first room had a infestation of ants in the bathroom. The second room had a noisy AC which could be left on at night. The third room had been updated with new AC and shower and a coat of paint and was the only room worth the fee.

Very nice complex. Room was very large, bed was very comfortable and equiped with mosquito net. Bathrooms were clean and fridge was stocked with water. Pool is nice. There are nice green area where you can sit back and relax, also they serve nice meals and plethora of drinks. I would definately stay there again.

Only real drawback is that the place is located far from Maun centre so if you want to purchase some extra food or whatever you need to get a cab (they can call taxi driver for you). Frankly though every place in Maun is kinda remote as the town is sparesly build up.

We booked a game drive in the Moremi Game Reserve through the lodge. This game drive with our guide William was breathtaking! Among other things, we saw elephants, giraffes and lots of lions up close on this experience. As William knew the area perfectly, he also knew exactly where to look for lions. Without him, we would never have seen so many animals. Thank you William!

This was my first time to Island safari and I really liked it. The place is massive and gorgeous. And I really mean massive; it's a 5 min drive from the gate to the reception along a dirt road that sometimes has khudu and other antelopes which was cool. The staff were very welcoming and kind. The dinner we got was delicious and honestly really affordable as well. The breakfast is filling and delicious as well with everything you'd want for a meal to start your day. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable; I slept great. Really glad I stayed there and look forward to future stays whenever I'm in Maun. Another thing I'd recommend is going for a morning hike on the property. There are a few loops you can do that are a few kilometers.

I'd say the main thing I didn't like, and to be fair this is many places in Maun, is that the water sometimes runs brown. It usually clears up after you run it for some time. But it would be great if they added an additional filtration system to the water system. The fridges are always stocked with bottled water for drinking as well.

All the staff were helpful friendly and gave exceptional service.The location and view over the River were delightful. The chalets ,set amongst the trees and access to the pool made our stay. The staff were exceptionally helpful in planning our activites , particularly the 3 night safari camping trip and the staff on the trip William and Neo went well above and beyond our expectations. Williams guiding and Neos cooking skills made our stay at Moremi unforgettable.
