The house is beautiful, the location is great and the breakfast is amazing (huge praise to the breakfast staff!). The rooms are very clean. The staff are very cordial.

The pool was a bit dirty (surprisingly, as I saw other reviews complaining about that but I guess they still didn’t take action in this regard) and we were never informed that one of the pools is heated, which I leaned in the last day before my check out. I would probably have used it with my baby if I was aware of it (when I mentioned in the front desk that I was never informed they said this information is available on booking.com - Well, if it is, I never saw it, and, still, I believe they should inform guest as I booked it months in advance and I would not memorise this information). It’s a period house, therefore, I could hear the staff at reception using the printer past midnight…

Great location in Petropolis. Good size beautiful rooms. Easy to park the car. Close to restaurants and the Imperial Museum. Helpful staff even during "low season".

Some small changes would make the stay even better: access to kettle in the rooms (although we did not request this), clearer during booking that the restaurant and bar is "semi-closed" during off season (fully open only for breakfast). Accessibility - lack of ramps and lift to second floor in the hotel (we traveled with pram).

Room size was great, and the hotel is beautiful

Staff did not speak English and could not understand anything we were saying. Also, we asked for a massage and it genuinely was the worst massage we have ever received. Also, the hotel was more expensive than our stay in Rio, which did not make any sense. On Friday night, the hotel told us that their chef was not there and it was pouring outside which meant that we couldn't go out for dinner. This was very unpleasant and unprofessional , as their hotel was full.

My favourite hotel in Petropolis and one of the best I stayed in the world! Impecably decorated, great breakfast - my special gratitude goes to ladies serving breakfast! At check-in they dont make you fill the forms, they do it themselves - thank you for saving your guests' time. Look forward to my next stay!

The hotel staff were very good and helpful. The location is central to the sights of Petropolis. The breakfast was outstanding and the rooms very clean and comfortable.

The pool could have been cleaner and warmer. It would have been nice to have the pool bar staffed for a few hours a day but otherwise everything was perfect.

I think the breakfast was very poor. Low variety and poor presentation. It was not aligned to the level of the property.
