Marulhos is a very good resort and has good restaurant service. The pool was always very clean. It has privite access to the beach.

I had been to Marulhos before but in a different apartment. This time I had a very poor experience. The resort was full and the staff was very desorganized. There were no clean towels available and we had to wait for a long time to get some. Plus the towels are very rough and dry. The flat itselft had a lot of small repairs to be made: toilet seat cover was broken (no one came to fix it); the toaster was not working properly, the air conditioner remote control was broken so you could not see the temperature it was, the sink was leaking... I mean... it needs attention.

The pool area was nice, however overcrowded with heaps of families with their kids.

Considering we are in 2024, we had no internet available inside the room. Even the 4G (Brazilian SIM card) was not working. The place is located in a black spot for the internet. The only wifi available was in common areas, however very slow and half the time we couldn't connect. This was extremely difficult if you were overseas and relied on an internet connection. The room had previous guests' hair all over the floor. The apartment we stayed in was old and mouldy. Please refer to the photos. I do not recommend the place. Some of the power points around the apartment were sticking out.The fridge had a filter, however, with mould everywhere. We did not have the courage to use it. We were also not provided with any small toiletries, and considering this was advertised on a site that primarily hosts hotels/described as a resort, this is a basic that every place should provide their guests. We also had to wait for confirmation that breakfast was included despite booking.com advertising this as part of the deal. Finally, the fitness and spa were out of action despite this being a major facility used to advertise the room. All in all, we are very disappointed with our stay and feel ripped off because this was not cheap.
