The location is great, close to several restaurants, kiosks and supermarket in the center of Copacabana

Nothing. During the last night of our stay some neighboring rooms had a very loud party and the reception during the night was not responsive, so had to deal with the noise. But the rest of the nights were very relaxful

All the personnel, from reception, to bar/breakfast and cleaning services have been extremely welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good, variety of salty and sweets and fresh fruits. We appreciated also the crêpes that were made on order. The lobby has a good relaxing area. Hotel is located on sea front at copacabana you just have to cross the street to find your perfect spot on the beach. Plenty of restaurants and bars around. We felt it safe to walk close to the hotel after dinner.

The room needs renovation. Moist on the walls from the A/C. Old furniture and in general it didn’t feel like a 4 star hotel room.

The bedroom was quite falling apart, lack of maintenance, the bathroom shower was quite dirty.

The prime location on Copacabana beach and the roof pool and bar/restaurant with stunning views. The rooms were comfortable, the buffet breakfast was superb with a great variety of fruit, cheese, ham and cooked food such as omelettes and sausages. But none of this would’ve been important without the charm, goodwill and friendliness of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. They were marvellous.

Our hotel apartment was comfortable and had a lovely side view of the beach but niggly little problems cropped up such as a blocked toilet and shower, and a faulty bathroom door. However, these problems were addressed quite promptly and we were even upgraded at one point.

All the staff were amazing. So helpful and kind! Special thanks to Henrique at the reception. Luiza at the breakfast was an angel being super helpful. Billy, also at breakfast was so kind and full of joy, always smiling! Aline and Gerson at the swimming pool bar were amazing.. we also have to talk about the delicious food at the restaurant, shout out to chef Mariana!! The hotel is busy but relaxing and the staff made our stay extra special. We would happily return to stay again when in Rio

Unfortunately the pillows weren’t to our taste. They are big and feathery which many would love but they didn’t suit us

Great location. Great atmosphere. The staff are a bit mixed, from one point we talked with Junior whom was an amazing help for our needs, but from the other side we had a very annoying receptionist (His name start with "He") whom gave us a very hard time. So I want to write very good things about the hotel. The location is amazing. The breakfast is very good. The rooms are clean and usable. The pool is cool. But yet, just one receptionist (name start with "He") have given our vacation a bad taste. They are quite relaxed with visitors which is good.

We had a great stay at Pestana Rio Atlântica during our business trip. Our group was accommodated on the same floor, which was very convenient. My room was spacious, featuring a large, comfortable bed and a small balcony with a partial ocean view. The bathroom was clean, with a nice shower and complimentary shampoo and conditioner. A safe was available (though not fixed to anything) and the minibar was stocked, though quite expensive. One of the highlights of the hotel is the rooftop, one of the highest in the area, offering a stunning view of Copacabana Beach, a pool, and a restaurant/bar service. During Carnival, they organized a samba show with two dancers, which was a fun touch. The breakfast was excellent! Bit crowded after 8.00 am. The beach is right in front of the hotel and there are many restaurants, bars and caffee around. Overall, the cleanliness was excellent, and the staff was friendly (especially Gregori) and helpful, they also arranged the transfer back to the airport. A solid choice for both business and leisure stays in Rio!

Swimmingpool just opens at 9.00 am. A guy at the reception with long hair was pretty rude.

An absolutely fantastic hotel in a lively location right on Copacabana beach. We splashed out on a King Suite with sea view after a month of backpacking around, and it was wonderful. A spacious room with large balcony directly overlooking the beach, and a great bathroom, comfy bed, well-stocked mini bar etc. The pool area is nice if a bit crowded- and we enjoyed a few lunches sitting there. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. A very memorable stay - highly recommended!! Upgrade if you can, we got a deal for the King Suite, as having a sea view and balcony was fabulous.

My stay at Pestana Hotel Rio de Janeiro was absolutely fantastic! A huge shoutout to Luisa and Billy from breakfast—every morning, they greeted us with big smiles and incredible service, making sure we had everything we needed to start our day right. Their friendliness and energy truly embody the Brazilian spirit! Also, a special thank you to Valdo, who took care of our luggage with so much kindness and efficiency—he made us feel right at home. We also had a small issue during our stay, but the manager handled it swiftly and professionally, ensuring everything was resolved in no time. That level of service and attention to guests’ needs truly sets this hotel apart. The location is perfect, right in front of the beach, allowing us to enjoy breathtaking views and easy access to everything Rio has to offer. Our room was extremely comfortable, and we were so grateful for the beautiful beachfront upgrade they provided—it made our stay even more unforgettable! Thank you to the entire team at Pestana Hotel for such a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to come back!

– Music at the pool could be better – Crowded breakfast space already after 07:30; more space is needed – Pool water should be changed/cleaned more often as it got dirty after a day of use – Recommendation: cooperation with a more professional tour agency than “Rio40 Tourismo”
