I chose Leques Brasil Hotel Escola mainly because of its location. I wanted to stay in Liberdade but not too close to the Japão-Liberdade metro station, as the area gets extremely crowded on weekends. Instead, I opted for a quieter spot near São Joaquim station, just a few steps from Galvão Bueno street. My experience was excellent from the start. I arrived early in São Paulo, and my room was already ready, allowing me to check in ahead of time and head out right away. With Bom Retiro and Liberdade on my itinerary, having a metro station just three minutes away made getting around incredibly easy. The staff was friendly and welcoming, providing helpful tips to make the most of my stay. I booked without breakfast, as I wanted to explore Liberdade’s street market, which was a great choice. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a large bed and a great window view of the Japanese lanterns and surrounding buildings. Since I stayed on a high floor, I had a quiet and restful night, except for the occasional sound of birds — specifically, the green parakeets (maritacas) that I’m already familiar with in my hometown. :) If you're looking for a convenient place to stay near Liberdade and Bom Retiro, this is a great choice. It’s also an ideal base for those who love shopping in the area. Plus, being just a short walk from the metro makes exploring São Paulo much easier.

The only thing I missed was a gym. I was aware that the hotel didn’t have one when I made the reservation, so it wasn’t a surprise. However, it would be a great addition for guests who like to keep up with their workout routine. That being said, it didn’t affect my experience, as the location makes it easy to walk around the neighborhood and get to other areas of the city quickly.

The rooms were large, and the shower was fully enclosed, so no water was leaking out. The washroom also had a bidet situation which was nice. The staff was lovely. They were super helpful with restaurant recommendations, how to get around, and how to stay safe. They have good security at night. Great location, there was a small pharmacy and quite a few spots to eat nearby. Its also nearby the japanese area. The pool was also nice, overall an amazing stay, and would absolutely come again.

You should speak some Portuguese or spanish (which we do) to help you out 😊 Please do not go to a new country and be upset that they do not speak YOUR language. You are in a new country, take some time to learn a few common phrases. We enjoyed our stay so much. Thank you to the staff!

I was very pleased. The breakfast and staff were friendly. I easily went to the Japanese museum nearby. I forgot the name of the receptionist at the exit. He was very helpful. He helped me get into a taxi. He was a very friendly and friendly person. I thank him very much.

Beautiful, immaculate, fun location in Liberdade (Japanese neighborhood), staff were extremely kind and attentive, very comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, overall highly recommend!

The hotel is in an area which is quite lively and safe but hotel's immediate vicinity is not particularly interesting. Its within a 20 min walking distance from Avenida Paulista, which is an area worth exploring. The hotel is clean and safe and much cheaper compared to high-end hotels. Also expensive hotels are much further away from central areas. Hotel room is nice and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was agreeable, mostly local food.

We'd argue around 8.5 is an appropriate rating. 9+ only if following items are improved: - Average breakfast. - Wifi stops the moment you check out. Takes effort at the reception to re-activate. (Why??) - Pool area was a bit degraded. - What ever you touch from the welcome package in your room, you have to pay for. Hence not only the mini bar, but everything that looks like "given" to you... quite unclear.

The general facilities like the reception and the staff, the restaurant on the 2nd floor and the pool on the roof are very good. Location is excellent as well.

Rooms are a bit basic ad it is a pity you cannot have a drink or snack in the reception area. The bar is there but not manned.

Nothing relevant to mention. Only remark is that I didn’t realize that breakfast was not included in my booking and the the price for that was on the high side (R$48,00/person)

Considering the traffic in Sao Paulo and in comparison to another hotel we've been at, we could not hear any noise from the street at night, despite being in a central location.

The staff was amazing. They went above & beyond to make sure I was comfortable & enjoy my stay in Brazil. Angelica and Humberto gave me the best reception ever. They were too kind & willing to assist me as much as they could. Also the room was nice and big.

The TV was not working so my room my dead quiet but having said that, it did not affect my stay.
