They pulled no stops for Christmas, and went above and beyond for the kids. CHRISTMAS day Brunch was incredible and very reasonably priced. The Christmas displays were nothing short of spectacular and the staff went above and beyond to look after you. The games and activities kept the whole family entertained. The pool was lovely to heat up and relax after a cold day doing the hikers code with the kids. So many dining options and things to do. A true magical getaway.

They didn't disclose that I could hire the skates for 24 hours rather than just 2, so we ended up paying a lot more than we needed to with repeated hiring, as well they never applied our in house discount until well into our second last day. Dining was also very expensive , considering that the elaborate Christmas Brunch and dinner were so reasonably priced, and kids were very cheap on the day.

Views were excellent, and as offered with the room booking! Actual room size is very misleading in the photos however - much smaller. But comfortable, clean and well appointed. Great location and lots to explore.

Crowds, particularly when attempting to access eateries or just get a drink or snack at any of the bars, outdoor pop-ups, etc. Room service very overpriced for what is on offer. Food dry/cold/lukewarm at best. Shuttle service needs improvement re more regular service - had to hitch a ride on another bus to get back up to the Chateau as only Fairmont shuttle that turned up downtown after an extensive wait was heading off elsewhere.

The Fairmont Chateaux Lake Louise was a high point for us, with its fantastic location and grand nature, and accompanying price tag we expected a lot. Mostly it delivered, and the hotel upgraded our room as well but unfortunately it was under major renovations and the suite we were given was right in the midst of major works - the sound of drilling drove us out of this otherwise very beautiful suite.

Just the building works, we understand they’re necessary but the staff were quite dismissive about the disruption and have clearly been schooled to ensure it is only spoken of in a positive manner. For a once in a lifetime visit the future benefits were not a lot of comfort to us.

Amazing hotel, thoughtful and friendly staff and absolutely stunning views!

Spectacular view of Lake Louse and the mountains from the large windows in our suite - the true "postcard" view, centered on the long axis of the lake and overlooking the garden. The suite is spacious, comfortable, and the service superior (10/10) as always with the Fairmont Gold staff. The room is located across the hall from the Fairmont Gold lounge. The bathroom is large, brightly lit and equipped with both a tub and a separate step-in-shower. Windows are equipped with blackout drapes that work. There are window screens should you wish to open windows a few inches for ventilation but keeping bugs out - the screens are also removable to take photos or enjoy the view through the windows.

On-going construction of a new fitness facility behind the ground level of the north wing (June 2024) meant the presence of a large overhead crane and construction noise during the days. Fortunately, this room is in the center of the hotel and our view was not significantly impaired by the crane. Late risers or light sleepers (not us) may find the noise to be a problem. The room is close to the Fairmont Gold lounge kitchen, so there is a bit of faint early morning kitchen sound.

This fulfilled a life-long dream, to stay at Lake Louise, at the Fairmont Chateau. The property maintains very high quality and manages the balance between being a visitor hotspot, as well as a grand accommodation well. The continuous changing aspects of the glacial face and the lake colors deserve the investment of time, attention and funds. I'm so impressed by the international staff composition. Not just here, but all throughout western Canada it seems youngsters from many parts of the world make a working sojourn here. I sampled the restaurants and enjoyed splendid meals with deep rooted European /Alpine influence. Another testament to the care in detail for shaping the guest experience.

This location stay IS an investment, and lots of bits of Canada add their extra tax to the cost. Go in knowing you are investing in the experience and maintenance of the location & facilities. Apparently there is a stocked mini-bar that has a lock. Okay. I wasn't inclined to unlock it and empty it for my personal use. That's okay, it is a means of keeping standards a bit higher.

Fairmont Gold at the Chateau is absolutely the way to go. Breakfast and afternoon food in the lounge were superb and a dedicated concierge were worth the upcharged price. Our direct lake view was priceless. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else next time. We skipped the long lines for the canoes. Walked right outside and chose any hike we felt like tackling, without worrying about parking. Restaurants were superb and all staff were knowledgeable and accommodating.

The property was under a major renovation to add a whole wellness center. The current pool and spa were nothing to experience but we are excited to come back for the facelift! I can only imagine dipping in an outdoor hot tub with those views after a strenuous hike!!

The hotel is tucked right in front of Lake Louise which gave us a picturesque view throughout the entire stay! Lake Louise being one of the best lakes we’ve seen in Canada , with direct access to Lake Louise trail, we’re so glad to be a guest here! Room service was top notch and management was very thoughtful to welcome us celebrating our honeymoon here! We especially enjoyed the champagne, dessert and personalised messages. ♥️ Staff were friendly & helpful - concierge helped with recommending the best trail we’ve hiked in the Canadian Rockies, lending us bear spray for ease of mind. Another concierge staff also highly recommend the eateries in the chateau and was very keen on us trying them out, and while it may be convenient, it may also be a pretty biased take.

Concierge should have had guests interest at heart and instead of recommending subpar quality food in the chateau, they should have recommended better food from the village.

I mean, its an amazing hotel in the most stunning of locations. Like a fairytale. So huge I was constantly getting lost. The staff were all fabulous. Get a lake view room, or whats the point!? Breakfast was of very good quality, as you would expect. Love the late check out time of 12 oclock, and the fact I could stay there for a few more hours after that to enjoy it.

Pool, when I eventually found it, was so cold! The map and signage could be improved. I met an Australian couple twice whilst we were both lost looking for our room! Was it worth 3+ times the cost of other hotels? As a one off, yes. I had to grin and bear it when paying!

Beautiful room with a Lake View as requested. We enjoyed the activities - Hotel History Lecture; guided hike to Fairview Lookout. Good food at the restaurants.

The bathroom was not great. Very small, which is OK given space constraints. But it was quite cold - drafty. And the water in the shower varied. Sometimes warm. Rarely hot. Sometimes downright cool. Not the standards we would have expected. Air conditioning / heating in the room was unpredictable, too. Even with a set temperature, it would sometime blow quite cold, then overwarm ...
