Best Western Plus in Valemount is a very clean, comfortable, modern facility, and has pet-friendly rooms. The breakfast buffet provides a wide range of choices and is well managed. The location beside the wetlands trails provides an enjoyable place to walk after a day on the road.

We normally travel to BC during the Fall and home in the Spring (i.e., off-season) rather than either the Summer tourist season or the Winter snowmobile season, and we had last stayed in the Valemount BW+ in March 2024, so we were unpleasantly surprised when booking this time that the room rates were over 50% higher than what we had previously paid, and on arrival that the hotel had switched from the complementary breakfast buffet to 50% off on the buffet. Obviously a factor to remember when planning to travel in the Summer :-(

There are a number of choices around the Valemount area to stay in but personally I think this might be the best one. Free parking right out front and reception was warm and friendly. Didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant, but based on reviews, it looks to be pretty good. We picked up some takeout earlier from a Japanese restaurant in village, but regrettably it was not good and way too salty and greasy. Should have tried the restaurant instead.

Squeaky sofa made a lot of noise and the bed was too soft

Perfect location for our family summer trip. We had young children who love to mountain bike, hike and swim. This hotel enabled us to do all of it. We made it a bit more affordable by bringing our own groceries and a BBQ. There is a lovely lounge with lots of tables for a family to eat dinner or hang out. There is also a great outdoor space with picnic tables that were perfect for a BBQ. We were able to cook there but the weather forced us to eat inside. Dog friendly.

The room was great and very spacious. Hotel had great facilities such as pool, hottub and a fancy coffee machine in the lobby. Check in staff were friendly.

Really unimpressed with the restaurant service. We were told a 30-45 minute wait for a table which was fine and the hostess said she would call our room when it was ready. We waited an hour in our room without a call just to return to the restaurant and see it half empty. We then waited an hour to get our mains and nobody ever came to ask us if we wanted more drinks. Overall just disappointing and frustrating service, it ruined what started out as a nice stay.

Breakfast was great, lots of variety, long weekend extra effort for sunday. Eggs benny, waffles, scrambledeggs, muffins,toast, cereal, fruit cup, juice lots of coffee and tea. The dog had a wonderful time walking the trails behind the gardens at the hotel. Lovely walks in the woods and around a lake, hidden gems.

Got a surprise when I asked if my dog could get a hamburger patty cooked in the kitchen the kitchenfor his breakfast. The hostess had to find the chef, who had to get the cook and then find the manager/waitress who knew how to price a burger patty, which we eventually got salt and peppered and well done. My dog the snob likes his burgers rare, and bare. It was an experience for all of us! I just presumed like the fast food industry, hotel restaurants had started to cater to the 4 footed children, where it is entirely possible to order a plain burger patty cooked rare and an ice cream in a cup without batting an eyeball.And the kid at the counter rings it up like it happens every day.

The Best Western Plus Valemount Inn & Suites was very clean & the hotel room spacious with an exterior deck where the guests can sit down and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening or a morning cup of coffee. Our suite was located at the rear of the hotel and away from the busy Highway #5 vehicle traffic, so we enjoyed a restful overnight sleep. In the event, we travel through Valemount, BC in the future and require an overnight stay, we definitely will be returning back.

The hotel's lounge was too small and becomes very congested with only several people occupying it. The restaurant was only open for breakfast hours which requires the hotel guests to drive the 2 kms back into town to enjoy a meal. As a hotel guest, we attended the restaurant for breakfast and enjoyed it but the waiter requires to stay more attentive and keep updating the breakfast buffet as there were food selections missing and we requested that he continue to fill up the buffet.

The staff was great, and the hotel was clean and comfortable. I really appreciated the free coffee in the lobby. The pool had a great waterslide, and the water temperature was nice.

Although the pool was overall pretty great, I found the water to be quite hazy. My daughter likes to retrieve items from the bottom of the pool. However, you couldn't really see under the water with goggles due to the hazy/cloudy water.

The location is nice, like the outside trail right beside the hotel. We love the pool we had a great family time in the pool. Dog-friendly hotel.

The breakfast was disappearing, at 9 o'clock they ran out of milk and overall variety was poor. We were with a kid (6y) and the couch bed wasn't ready for sleep, we didn't have any additional bed sheets or blankets in the room, and we were disappointed about this since we arrived very late and were very tired.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms comfortable and good quality linen and towels. Great to have tea / coffee available in reception area in addition to what was in your room. Nice pool for a relaxing swim but not designed for swimming lengths. Fabulous breakfast buffet. Sadly restaurant not open the night we stayed but reception had a list of local places that were open. Good Wi-Fi signal.

Little space in the room to put your suitcase down, can't understand why room designers put large chests of drawers in rooms that will mainly be designed for one or two night stays which take up lots of space that isn't used.

There was a nature trail right beside the hotel that lead to a 200 acre wild life marsh preserve with an 3 story observation tower. It was GORGEOUS. Can’t believe they don’t advertise that feature. The grounds and trail were beautiful! The swimming pool had a 3 story slide. The lobby was stunning. People and free breakfast were also great. Beds were super comfy.
