Location was good being only a couple of hours drive and close to 401. Breakfast was ok. Could do with a better selection of ingredients for an omelet. Also, fried eggs would be nice.

My wife enjoyed her dinner very much. I did not. All the main courses had the likes of stuffed spinach. The course could not be served without these and I do not like these. Ended up with two starters - seafood board that was just ok and a Caesar salad that was not good.

Beautiful property. Enjoyed walking the trails and view from our room over the forest. High ceiling and window design, so light was great. Slippers. Excellent dinner and service. Our server Brenda was professional, friendly and customer focused. Really appreciated her honesty about my first choice (risotto) and changed it to the delicious Salmon.. Chef very creative- lamb chops with portobello..yum. Peaceful atmosphere. All staff very friendly.

Breakfast buffet. Great room set-up and coffee. Scrambled eggs were heavy, tasteless and turkey sausages..dry and overdone. Fresh fruit vg..no GF.

The staff were friendly and very kind. I received a call after I settled in to confirm that everything was good and if I needed anything. I liked that!

I ate at the restaurant and ordered a beef tenderloin, one of the more expensive meals. The beef was over cooked and not at all how it should be cooked. My meal was discounted, but I was disappointed. The quality did not suit the facility. The waitress was excellent in how she dealt with this, as was the manager. The food just did not meet expectations for the price.

Breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices.

Tried to put a night light in the bathroom. When the light switch is turned on, there is power to the bathroom receptacle but when you turn the switch off, there is no power at the receptacle. Thus, the night light would not work with the switch in the off position. The TV reception was 'analog' rather than digital. Tried to find how to make it digital reception but could not. Had to watch programs in the 4:3 ratio on the screen because it was 'analog' signal coming to the TV.

The breakfast was excellent. However, if I had known there was an omelette station, I would have had that instead of scrambled eggs. The coffee was delicious.

There could have been a grab bar in the shower. As a senior, I am very dependent on these devices for my safety. I would also appreciate a second comfortable chair in the room so no one has to always sit on the bed.

Food was good and staff is friendly

Breakfast meal should change daily and not serve the same foods every morning. That gets old when you’re visiting multiple days. Room decor needs an update. The bathroom is updated but the carpet and rest of the room need it too. I use to visit annually 19 years ago and to me the room looks the same, that should not be.

Facial and massage were both amazing. Room service and restaurant meals were beyond expectations. Just amazing! The room was beautiful and clean. Antique look and original. I had the sparkling wine and cheese package and both were set up in my fridge for when I arrived with a little note and I was able to settle in and feel pampered right away. The dining room staff was so friendly for dinner. Amazing service throughout the entire stay. I couldn't believe how accommodating everyone was and will be back.

The weather really sucked that weekend. Couldn't explore the beautiful grounds.

Breakfast offered a good selection of options. Sunday there were fewer choices than on Saturday. Reception desk staff were very helpful and several times went out of their way to bring us coffee refills or a new machine or plates and cutlery for eating take-out food in our room.

Heat in the sauna wasn't working well. .

Very friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable room, delicious meals in a lovely old mansion, with nice grounds near river. Spa was a treat. great access off main highway.

First impression of front entrance indicated a lot of wear and tear to doorways and walkways although well sanded for slippery weather, which was appreciated.

I was very much enjoyed my stay the only negative was I purchased the Oxford cheese trail package on line and it indicated it was to include a complimentary bottle of wine and cheese tray but it was not provided. When I asked the front desk staff about it , I was told because I made my reservation through booking.com it was not included. No where in the reservation as far as I could See did it suggest that was the case. A little disappointing, it would of been a nice touch.
