- the room we had was huge - the room had a fridge and AC - staff was super friendly - they kindly let us part pay the first day only - they kindly let us extend the check out time by an hour

- the bedding (pillow & blanket) were a bit musty / smelling old - the listing mentioned free toiletries but it was lackluster, didn't expect only face soap - the listing mentioned socket near bed, there was only at one of 3 beds a socket - minimal amount of toilet paper stocked, a roll more and it would've been optimal

The Guest House has a community feel to it. Staff is very friendly and super helpful. My room had a shared bathroom option, and I was a bit nervous about that, but it was meticulously clean. Showers have privacy curtains so even dressing/undressing is private, ample hot water, and water pressure was great. There is also a large, fully equipped kitchen, and that's where the community feel really shines, as people chat while preparing food. There is a small dining area as well. The grounds are gorgeous, lots of lush greenery and I discovered a small Catholic forest altar with statues of the Virgin Mary and another praying female figure. I'm not even Catholic, but discovering it in the park was a welcome surprise. I think the shrine belongs to St Joe's Hospice close to the Guest House. My room had a view of the park and the large pond. I really enjoyed staying there, it felt like sanctuary when I needed it the most. The rooms are a bit small, but the bed was super comfortable and the linens were crisp and clean.

There is nothing I didn't like. Not a luxury place, but really good value for the money.

I stay here because of the location. THe rooms are adequate but a different scent in the laundry would be nice as the sheets smell like BO. Again, I stay here for the location. Staff are always friendly. TV always needs attention from the staff - usually a remote is missing. Beautiful location with the trees. Love the location.

the smell of the sheets - repeatedly washed with low grade detergent - just add some booster stuff to it i'm sure that will help. Oh and the price jumping $30 was a downer but still be cheaper - idk - i stay here for the location.

I really liked the location and the beautiful property and the rooms have private patios to relax on while looking ober the peaceful and quiet grounds. Also the staff were very polite, friendly and courteous. All for the best rates in entire city. Trust me this "stay" has real value.

At first I heard that were shared bathrooms. That was enough right there, I thought, "I'm not staying there!" -but, I was wrong, the public facilities were large, private and exceptionally clean. Bravo!

the tv was useless in terms of reception as I like news and not an option I found one of your male clerks very unpleasant natured .As when I went check out he was criticizing another staff at least I think he was a staff member >this should have been addressed in private not in an open area any one in a position of leadership or should know this so it will have an affect on my staying there even though I loved the location and room for the purpose I was there Thankyou.

Have stayed here twice now and both have been great experiences. Very clean rooms - can tell they pay attention to details - with comfortable beds and good pillows. Soap bar and towels are provided. Excellent shared kitchen that is well stocked, with fridge space to use, and nice lounge areas to eat or relax in. The shared bathrooms are very clean and are not busy. Everything is very well organized with great signage in the common areas to ensure guests are being respectful of sharing the space with others. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. It may not be the snazziest/most modern looking place, but it is a fantastic place to stay that is very clean, has everything you need, and that makes you feel at home.

A mirror in the single room would be handy, but easy enough to use the mirror in the shared bathrooms.

The overall atmosphere is very familial and cozy, it felt like a hotel from the 60s. The facilities: kitchen, washing machine, tumbler, iron and ironing board made the stay very practical. The bed was comfortable. The window could be opened and had an insect screen. For the purpose of my trip the location was perfect close to the Western university campus and the hospital.

The pillows and the mattress had a light unpleasant smell. The room was fairly noisy, the outside AC machines (or some machine) were clearly audible through the walls. I would have liked an overall better cleanliness.

Appreciated the cleanliness, especially of common areas such as the bathrooms and showers and kitchen. I loved the view from the common area at the end of the hall. I loved the kitchen. It so helped to be able to make some of my own food.

I have had trouble with perhaps the soap or laundry detergent or other fabric treatment. My hands got very sore and flakey, I also had sores and excessive dryness around my legs. The next time I stayed, I brought my own sheets and soap and had no problems. I do have allergies and my friend has who stayed there much longer than I has had no problem other than dry hands on which she spread lotion. That was enough to avoid problems for her. People who use the toaster oven could take care of it better.

The staff member who checked us in was incredibly warm and friendly. We arrived around midnight and they were still cheerful and extremely helpful. I felt so at ease and extremely welcome. The checkout process was incredibly easy and no fuss at all. Thank you to the wonderful staff.

The facilities are good but need a bit of an upgrade. There's nothing wrong or broken about the room or the amenities but the decor is looking a bit old but really it's all cosmetic.

The room was spacious and quiet, with good A/C, a clean & comfortable bed, a tidy kitchenette with fridge, and a nice work area. What a change to open the window in the evening and hear nothing but birds, crickets, and the wind. The river valley trails nearby are a beautiful place to go for a jog. I hope to return to the Guest House on the Mount again soon.

There was no screen on the window in my room, although I noticed that other rooms had one.
