This hotel has a truly unique and atmospheric vibe. The rooms create a really cool and authentic experience. Room temperature was perfect during our stay. The housekeeping team was very attentive - when we had some ants in the room, they responded quickly and took care of it. The territory is beautiful, filled with cactuses, pampas grass. The star-watching evenings and welcome ceremony were a nice touch. I also appreciated the convenient breakfast to go for my excursion day.

The restaurant experience was disappointing. Most of the staff didn’t speak English (except for one guy), and service was extremely slow. If you sat on the terrace or by the pool, no one would come to you. The way the staff ignored waving or calling felt almost demonstrative, which made the experience even more frustrating. The food itself was just average. The pool was cold, so unfortunately we couldn’t use it. The smell in the evening was not good, but I understand that the irrigation in the desert could be tricky

Fabulous staff. Brilliant free night sky talk. Lovely breakfasts with huge variety of options. Nice touches like welcome drink and chocolates on the first night. Large and comfy bed and nice bathroom. Small gravel terrace.

Considering the other facilities and the price the rooms could be better equipped. The only storage space for luggage and clothes was taken up by a fridge, robes, safe and laundry basket meaning all my clothes and luggage had to stay on the floor in the bedroom. The limited hanging space was too short to accommodate clothes meaning clothes couldn’t fully hang. I was very surprised that there wasn’t a hairdryer nor tea and coffee facilities. My room was also on the outer perimeter of the resort meaning noise and lights from the houses next door. As a single women the distance from town on an unlit road was also off putting and I choice to stay on the property after dark.

I really don't understand the criticism of some guests. The rooms are comfortable. The garden is super maintained. Because Latam changed our flights, we arrived very early. We were allowed early check in. Thank you, house keeping who cleaned our room with eye for details. The only todo for the hotel is to organise a pool policy. Russian and UK guests placed towels everywhere so that all places in the shade were occupied although they were not even in the hotel. Inform the guests that towels will be removed if absent.

This is a fabulous hotel set apart from the hustle & bustle of central San Pedro - an oasis within an oasis. The rooms are wonderful: comfortable, stylish (in an earthy and unique way), and well-appointed. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, attracting a lot of bird life as a result. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating to us, and really went out of their way to look after us during our stay. Overall, it was a superb experience.

The hotel is an approx. 10 minute walk from the center of town, along a dusty road. This didn’t bother us (and there actually aren’t any high-quality hotels in the center itself), but flagging as a potential concern for other travelers.

We enjoyed the entire concept of the hotel, the kindness of the staff, the poetic beauty of the gardens, the confort, the light, the privacy, and the cleanness of the rooms. The attention to the environment and a subtle holistic vibe were very appreciated

The only discordant note was the overpriced treatments in the "spa". A very basic structure where the menu includes a range of new age holistic Indian and yogic purification practices that sounded not too credible at the price over $100. It just felt inauthentic.

Grounds and rooms are well decorated and comfortable. Our room was upgraded, which was very much appreciated. Secure parking. Staff were great. Breakfast was very good – you can get cooked to order eggs and proper coffees. Housekeeping is excellent. Just as an FYI, there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but there is a bar fridge. It’s about a 13-minute slow walk into town, not a problem as it’s nice and quiet (except for the barking, well fed stray dogs which are everywhere). I paid over 30% less by booking months ahead. Lovely area to relax around the pool (too cold for swimming). We stayed 5 nights and missed out on the first onsite night sky session (booked out), but got a spot on the next one. Book early! We hired a car from Calama, perfect, pretty easy way to get around and experience such a beautiful place.

Severely lacking in proper insulation. We were there in August (winter) and the rooms were cold. Even when it was very warm outside during the day, the rooms were cold. There are wall heaters that automatically come on for the night, but we had to request it be on when we got back in the afternoon. Bring slippers! Walls are also very thin and I could hear my partner from outside the room (insulation again). Such a big miss from the designers/builders as it will be an ongoing issue that detracts from such a lovely place.

Very sympathetic construction of mud huts, thatched roofs and rooftop terraces. Very comfortable, very quiet. An oasis in the desert. Certainly not glamorous or glitzy. Just really peaceful and interesting keeping with the environment. The staff were outstanding. They couldn’t do enough for us. We were offered breakfast picnics when we had early starts. A very welcoming atmosphere

The food on the restaurant was very disappointing. There was so much potential to do more, but it didn’t deliver. Breakfast was ok

I stayed at Nayara and Habitas. Nayara of course has the most beautiful setting but is so so so much more expensive. When I return, I will choose Habitas, but not because it’s cheaper. The staff were friendly in both places, but Habitas has more of a community feel, a personal touch, and offers amazing wellness treatments that connect you to the ancestry of the land. Habitas has a beautiful grounds, as soon as you enter you feel welcome. The food is excellent. Nayara was beautiful but felt more like a resort where at Habitas, it felt more like a family.

The only thing is that they don’t add anything to the minibar. It would be nice to have it stocked!

Beds, bedding, and linens were great. Walking distance to town and its many restaurants. Property is very nice, clean and well kept. Rooms were spacious and comfortable (after we scored a fan from the front office since there is no ac) . The extra outdoor shower was a nice add-on to view the millions of stars. Beautiful delicious breakfast buffet with a la carte options. Nice outdoor seating in the garden. Delicious drinks and cold beer.

Service was slow, check in was painfully slow, but we kind of experienced that everywhere in Chile. Other than that, everything was great and staff was polite.

Absolutely beautiful hotel - great pool area, comfy room, slick restaurant and bar area. The staff could not have been more accommodating of any requests - whether you need information on excursions, local tips, or more. The location is just outside of the main town area, so it's nice and secluded but still close enough that you can walk in. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing stay while exploring the desert.

The only thing I'd recommend is the addition of some umbrellas around the pool area, as shade is limited
