The property was beautiful. Very well designed. The log fires were to die for. The team were out of this world. Their hospitality and attention to details like remembering your name was something else. The range of events during the day was something else. Breakfast, snacks, tea tasting, wine tasting…. A huge thank you to Christian too - a few of us had such a lovely chat with him over wine tasting.

I never thought I’d say this because I love a big bed, but the bed was just a little bit too big, the room had no space to move for suitcases, sorting out your stuff etc.

The location is just behind the main square. The hotel is in s beautiful historic house, very nicely renovated with great common areas, like sitting areas for a cup of tea in the afternoon, nice cold pool and nice breakfast area where they have wine tasting every night. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We came with a car and they have a private locked up parking area 50 metres away. The rooms are comfortable and well heated. We only figured out that there is no tv after 5 days.

Hotel is well-situated within the small town of San Pedro de Atacama. Unfortunately, like the rest of this tourist town, it's overly priced. I've traveled the world and have stayed at breath-taking properties in majestic locations and this is not one of them. It's not the fault of the hotel, but rather, the location and the expectation of everyone in the area being a tourist and the price gouging that come along with the territory.

Everything in the town of San Pedro de Atacama is way too expensive. The hotel tries its best to accommodate with items such as free wine tasting, etc. but still, at approximately $300 USD a night, you would expect that at any hotel.

Terrantai is a wonderful oasis of calm and hospitality. It’s beautifully designed with cosy rooms and plenty of communal space which they have thoughtfully laid out and decorated to give a very unique experience. We chilled by the pool and sat in the candlelight in the veranda area. We had superb breakfasts even on mornings when we needed to leave very early for a trip . The staff are so kind and helpful from the moment you arrive . They provide a wine tasting and lots of nibbles available in the afternoon. And chilled drinking water on tap. It’s just amazing . It’s in a great location you walk out of the door and you are in the hustle and bustle of the little town but once inside Terrantai it’s cosy and peaceful. We wouldn’t hesitate to return . Thank you .

There is nothing to dislike . Our room was compact but hot water is available in reception /dining area to make drinks at any time .

Excellent location. Delicious breakfast with lots of options. Really kind and helpful staff. Lovely additional touches such as wine tasting between 7pm and 9pm, an afternoon snack between 12pm and 4pm and a tea between 4pm and 6pm. Lovely rooms. Nice petite pool set up. Other personal touches include water bottles to use around the hotel and take as a memento. We selected this hotel based on the reviews and they were very accurate.

The only downside of the hotel was the front door bell which rings a lot (because you leave your key at reception) and is quite loud if you are near the reception and I probably wouldn't have the massage again. It was fairly weak and overpriced for what it was. HOWEVER, overall the hotel is excellent and I would still recommend the hotel every time.

the hotel location is simply perfect, because it is just steps away from rua Caracoles, and all little shops and restaurants. Breakfast is great, although we had to skip a few breakfasts because the tours usually begin really early in the morning - but you have the option to have breakfast prior to tours, as some of the items will be available, like yogurt, coffee, cheese, bread etc. We stayed in a room with garden view and it was really nice, the beds are super comfortable. Things that make the hotel super special: they offer tea all day, a snack time in the afternoon available with nuts and dried fruits, and they also offer a happy hour with wine in the evening, where the hotel guests get together to have some free wine and chat!

The rooms are small, I wish there was space for a chair so we could sit comfortably after the tours to rest a little. At night time it would be great to have more luminosity in the room, because it gets a little dark.

Everything was good this is a special place. The staff were extremely accommodating. Great at communication before and during the stay. They did a wonderful job facilitating or setting the stage for as much guest interaction as they wanted, but evening wine time was one of our favorite parts of the stay, chatting with the other guests about what they had done that day or past travels. It was like a grownup version of hanging out in a common room, which I hadn’t realized how much I’d missed. The location is perfect. Behind the church and 1 block off of the main drag. The hotel is beautiful which you can see from the pictures, with lots of little unique touches. I can’t wait to come back.

There is a little bit of street noise in the mornings when all the tours are heading out, but since you will probably be on the tours, not a problem ;)

The staff are the highlight of this hotel. When I was struck down with altitude sickness, they were very helpful to my husband in advising him where the pharmacy was, giving me snacks, and keeping an eye on how I was feeling. The location is great, in the middle of town, on a quiet road only 50m from many bars and restaurants. Our room (21) was very hot (no air-conditioning, just a ceiling fan), and at times became unbearable, particularly if you're ill in bed recovering from dehydration, and sickness! The bathroom was also unbearably hot, with no natural ventilation, so not particularly pleasant to spend much time in. The hotel has a swimming pool and a small outdoor deck, which is very pleasant (especially when trying to escape the heat of the room), and the breakfast area and outdoor dining areas are also pleasant for the free afternoon tea and free wine tasting. We didn't really get the full benefit of the breakfast with the egg station as we were out on tours early each day, but the other breakfast items were quite basic, but perfectly adequate.

We would have been happier with air-conditioning or having a room where we felt safe leaving a window open at night. All the rooms are located on the ground floor, and so we didn't want to leave the bedroom window open whilst we were sleeping. We noticed that some of the rooms had higher windows located in the bathrooms, which may well have given one the ventilation needed to cool the room down. So don't stay in room 21 if you want to open a window.

Outstanding hotel. Very accommodating in every sense of the word. They provide an early morning breakfast as many tours start before regular breakfast. They have snacks all day and a wonderful wine tadting each evening. The location is excellent right in the center of town. The staff are superb.

The rooms were wonderful but they could be a bit cooler. The ceiling fan wasn't quite enough.

Excellent hotel. Nothing I didn't like. Flagging to guests that you will need to go out for lunch/dinner (as not served there) but lots of local options and good recommendations from the hotel staff. This wasn't a problem for us because we liked to going to try restaurants.
