The location of this hostel was spot on: in the old town, very central, and yet quiet at night. Also, it is only 10 minutes away on foot to the metro station so it can be easily reached from the Suzhou railway station. The hostel itself is cute, with traditional architecture and a nice inner garden. The room was clean and luminous, but not very spacious.

The room and the bathroom are tiny. No hand soap was provided. Also, despite breakfast being advertised as "optional", having breakfast or coffee was not possible when we stayed as they were not making breakfast.

awesome location. right in the middle of the ancient part of town. not far from a metro station or the road (no cars allowed in the ancient town, it's is very peaceful). cute ancient Chinese style design.

no shampoo, soap, toothbrush, etc., but you can buy them there or at nearby shops. room was a little small, but fine for one person, maybe two.

awesome location. right next to an ancient canal in the old part of town. popping at night and so relaxing in the morning. great price! do bring the basics (shampoo, toothbrush, etc) but there's a store close by which has all that. i'll stay here again if i visit again.

Most things are good value for the price. It's great that the hostel is right in the middle of the famous Pingjiang Luo. Staff are friendly and available most of the time.

The toilet couldn't flush.

Beautiful location in the heart of the historic centre of Suzhou. Private room is basic but comfortable and exceptional value for money. Staff spoke limited English but were still helpful.

On-site cafe was closed and the rear garden area was being used for storage so little opportunity for socialising. 10 years ago this was a great place to meet other foreign travellers however today it seems to mostly cater for Chinese travellers although post-Covid this seems to be the case nationwide.
