Big room and nice view on the city. Good selection of chinese and some western breakfast. Good coffee. Super location close to underground, bus lines and malls. The window can be opened. Good soundproofing.

The room gets very warm and the temperature cannot be controlled with the room settings. The furniture is quite old and sometimes broken. Some spot were a bit dirty. Water pressure of shower is not very high.

Still the location is located right next to the metro station. This makes travelling so much easier; you don’t need a cab from the train station, just take the metro & you’ll be at the hotel.

Room is a bit too dark, not enough watts in some light bulbs. The only bright light is the light on the desk. Then there’s only 2 plugs where I can plug my charging cables for phone & computer. That isn’t good. I got food poisoning on Christmas Day so felt extremely nauseous & horrible((

Location in nice area. Behind the busy roads there are lots of quiet, ancient streets. Subway directly next to the hotel. Rooms were a bit too warm in winter. Even with a window open, temperature didn’t drop below 23,5 C (plus street noise). I just took the duvet out of its cover and then it was fine for me. As an airline crew member on a side trip from Beijing I don’t have/need a visa, which usually causes some problems checking in to hotels when on a private side trip, but the receptionist took care of it efficiently by making a quick call to her manager and apologized for the inconvenience (none at all). A lot has been said in other comments about the lack of (western) breakfast options, but I found plenty of choice: cereals, yoghurt, eggs, bread, rolls, fresh fruit. And good coffee! Absolute value for money.

Although I got a non-smoking room, there was an ashtray in my room. Why?

The room was very big and comfortable. The location is perfect with walking distance to the center. There are a lot of restaurants nearly. The hotel is located in a quiet place among the busy traffic area. The breakfast is mainly Chinese style, and had many variety of food. There was also some western food. There was a microwave oven for heating food. The staff were very friendly. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

The warm food in the breakfast was often cool. Keeping food warm could be improved.

The location was perfect, the room was cosy, and the staff was helpful. As an interior architect, I liked the glass brick bathroom wall welcoming daylight. We have to consider sustainability since no second planet has been known to support life yet.

Breakfast needs improvement since Tianjin is an attractive tourist spot, and Western visitors expect to see some cheese and olives. Also a wider range of breads, as well. That was almost all-Chinese.

The bedclothes didn't really smell too fresh. There was an electronic buzzing sound (from the fuse box) that I found very irritating at night (although it didn't bother my partner). The TV was useless to us in the evening, as the screen casting option didn't work and it had virtually no English content otherwise

Modern room layout, bright and spacious. Good location just above metro. Breakfast is great with lots of local variety.

They provide two bottles of water but all bottles are hard to open. The design of the cap is stupid (anti human - suppose that bottle water air dropped to rescue people….). It’s likely the bottle water not easy to sell in the market ( not found in the market) and therefore supplied to the hotel. The management should investigate the issue seriously.

Very convenient location with a subway entrance next door. Their breakfast was pretty good too. The staff are all nice and helpful; Very good beds.

I doubt if they vacuum the carpet... The conference room is on the same floor with the breakfast room and we can smell the cigarette in the hallway sometimes.

The location is very convenient, close to the CBD area, and easy to reach by bus and subway. Good facilities, especially with a self-service laundry, convenient for the family

Went to the public toilet on the 3rd floor. Surprised that No toilet paper was provided with the paper roll holder inside the cubicle. You have to remember to grab the toilet paper from the roll holder outside the cubicle before you go in.

Location was very good, just around the corner is a metro station. Bed was comfortable. Eventhough the hotel is a bit dated the room we were in was clean and had a great view.

Breakfast could have been better.
