Great hotel for your stay in Leticia. The hotel is very well located in the city centre. We particularly enjoyed the pool after coming back from our various jungle trips. The staff is wonderful, very friendly and attentive! The room was spacious, even had a balcony overlooking the street. Noise from the street was not a major issue. The shower was OK, with slightly warm water, which was totally fine for us. We asked for blankets because even if you put the AC at 25 degrees it might get a bit chilly with only a sheet provided by the hotel.

Breakfast was OK, but not great, in our view. Eggs were so-so. We dined two times at the restaurant. The first time we had fish, which was excellent, the second time we chose meat (following one of the recommendations here at booking.com), but were rather disappointed. The pool opens only at 9am, so no chance for early risers to enjoy a morning swim. However, none of these issues bothered us much and we would always come back!

I used Leticia as my ‘base camp’ and Waira Suits was a good choice. Close to everything you need in Leticia. I had a big external room with good illumination and air conditioning, but also very noisy at night (bring your earplugs and problem solved). The staff was super friendly. Breakfast included a nice selection of local fruits, daily fruit juice and omelette of your choice. The restaurant at dinner time was good and with vegetarian options. $15.000 COP taxi fare from/to the airport (Dec. 2024)

I cannot complain. If you consider that you are in the Amazon, you cannot be so picky with some things (e.g WiFi connection). Even so, the hotel was beyond my expectations. I would definitely come back.

Our stay at Waira Suites in Leticia was truly exceptional! The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding—our room was spotless, and the common areas were always well-maintained, making our stay very comfortable. One of the highlights of our experience was Manchas, the hotel’s loyal guardian dog. He followed us during our walks around the city, always keeping a watchful eye to ensure we were safe. Not only that, but he even waited patiently outside our room while we were getting ready, as if making sure we were never left unprotected. To our surprise, Manchas even accompanied us across the border into Brazil, walking with us through Tabatinga and continuing to look after us as we explored. He would patiently wait outside while we did some shopping in the supermarkets, always ready to resume his role as our faithful companion. It was clear that Manchas was well-loved by the entire community of Leticia, as locals greeted him warmly wherever we went. The staff at Waira Suites was also excellent—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality made our visit even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a clean, welcoming, and unique place to stay in Leticia, this hotel is a perfect choice! Highly recommended.

Manchas is the star of the show. The bestest good boy who has ever been. Seriously though, this hotel has a very high tier of service. It has two pools, a bar, a great restaurant and lots of areas to relax. The rooms are nice and the beds are fairly comfortable. The restaurant is probably one of the nicest and highest rates in the city and the hotel generally has fair prices for drinks. Service is quick with a smile. If I had a small complaint, I would have liked to have a beer at the pool with a book but no drinks are allowed in the pool area. Again manchas the hotels boss dog is a helpful member of staff he will even go on a walk around the city with you.

I would rate this as a budget hotel by US standards but when you take into account that you are in the Amazon in a city that isn't even connected to the rest of the country by roads, this place is exceptional. We stayed here after a very basic, rustic stay in the Amazon jungle and it was a delight to stay at this hotel: clean, air conditioned, great staff. I can recommend it strongly. It was truly lovely to stay there. Also, the restaurant is exceptional. I had one of the best beef steaks I've had in years. It was cooked perfectly and was tender and juicy. We also had a local type cocktail with lime and vodka (think Colombian margarita) and it was fantastic. If we are ever lucky enough to return to Leticia, we would make a point to stay at Waira Suites.

The seating outside at the restaurant was just concrete blocks with no back. Was note terribly comfortable.

Waira was a great way to relax after three days without A/C in the Amazon. Our room was large with a nice balcony, it's walking distance to Santander Park and several popular restaurants, and the pool was great. Best of all was Manchas, the hotel dog who followed into town everyday and acted as our local guide and security detail.

The rooms can be a little noisy, and the hotel restaurant was a bit expensive. Nothing major for us though and we hope to return.

Breakfast was good with a variety & eggs made to order. The whole staff was very courteous & friendly. Especially the Manager " Ismael Bernier" , who was attentive to the needs & spoke english. The restaurant was nice with AC & good food ( as their isnt many restaurants in the town ) .

Stairs to the 2nd & 3rd floor ! overall it a nice hotel in the city ( letticia) as there isnt much of a choice of hotels .. Especially with Hotwater shower , Minbar, & AC.

Staff are really friendly and hospitable. On our second night at the hotel on our way back from the Amazon, we were given a Master Room which was really comfortable, had a sofa and great air con facilities. Food in restaurant is tasty.

There is only a really thin sheet provided for bedding. With the aircon on, it’s actually quite cold to sleep in the room (but on the reverse without the aircon it becomes too hot quickly!)

Location. Beautiful hotel. Lovely people. Great restaurant.

Hotel of this level should provide liquid soap, not the hard little thing that doesn’t wash off. Though this is often the case all over South America. And only offer average brewed coffee. Should invest in a proper coffee machine, ie espresso

The people at the front desk and in the restaurant were nice.

I stayed the hotel 10 years ago, but compared to then, I felt that the overall maintenance was insufficient. My room faced the entrance, and I was woken up by the voices of people leaving for tours and the dins of car door closing from 4am.
