This property is a lovely, small scale resort with beautiful facilities and a very friendly staff! My family of 5 (my husband and I, plus 3 kids, 14, 12 and 10) all shared a family room and the space was perfect for us. The hotel was very helpful in arranging transport to the island. Many people come as day trippers from Cartegena, but we chose to stay 2 nights. The property has its own boat (or 2) that leaves Cartegena around 830 and heads back around 230. For our return trip, we needed special transport bc we had to leave early enough to catch a 3pm flight and the hotel helped arrange a boat to Baru and then a driver directly to the airport. Immensely helpful! From jumping off the dock, to massages (great and not $$$), the pool, snorkeling excursions, fun drinks, this place had it all! Special shout-out to the very friendly and helpful staff including Gloria, Jos, William and others!

It was a bit of a splurge for us cost-wise but with 3 main meals included it was actually a decent deal. Food and drinks aren’t fully all-inclusive all hours of the day, only at meal times. But the menu was extensive and delicious not typical resort food.

Location perfect - great to have both a really nice beach area and a rare pool in the islands. Very relaxing. Reception staff friendly and efficient- bar and waiting staff not particularly. Excellent massage by Anna for COP 160/hour. Food Ok but the same sides rather repetitive. You get a main course for lunch and with dinner a dessert as well, plus a daily changing fruit juice, coke, water and coffee.

You have to pre order both lunch and dinner from the menu which after a while felt a bit institutionalised as did the whole eating experience. Not really a proper restaurant feel more being fed. Breakfast the same every day. Very strong wind picked up each afternoon and continued through the night rendering our beautiful balcony with sea view unusable.

We had such an incredible time. We would absolutely come back in a heartbeat. 10/10. The rooms were so clean and spotless. AC worked really well. I really enjoyed the food. We signed up for the full package so that I could have access to the vegetarian menu options. I really enjoyed the coconut rice! We stayed from Monday through Thursday and I could have stayed 2 more days. The staff were so incredibly nice and welcoming. I enjoyed swimming right off the pier out in the deeper water, it was so so so so so turquoise-blue and clear. Nice (not too loud) music periodically during the day that turned off by 9pm. They had some boardgames we couple pay after 9pm. Just wonderful. I did so much research before coming to the islands on different hotels and I am really happy with my choice. Also, there were no bugs.

Our stay at this hotel in Islas del Rosario was truly amazing, largely thanks to the outstanding staff. We made a spontaneous booking without realizing that transportation to the island departs from Cartagena at 8:30 AM. Despite this, the staff went above and beyond to help us arrange a private shuttle to the island. Although it came at an additional cost, they were incredibly attentive and proactive in finding a solution, ensuring we could still enjoy our stay without any stress. Special thanks to Dennys Moreno, who provided exceptional assistance from early in the morning till the moment we arrived. Throughout our visit, the staff remained friendly, professional, and always willing to assist with anything we needed. A heartfelt thank you to Dailys for her warm hospitality, Gabriel for his attentiveness, William for expertly managing the boats and sea activities, and Nando and Altair for their helpfulness and kindness. Their dedication to providing excellent service made our experience even more special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with top-notch hospitality!

Everything was amazing, we loved the facilities, the beach was beautiful, food incredible and the most amazing was the wonderful kind staff.

Nice, quiet place. Exactly what we were looking for. The food was excellent. The cook and the boy serving meals (Gorge, if I am not mistaken) were brilliant, they really made our stay something special.

We Notice nobody speaks English and wish at least someone did. The second thing is that on the last day, there were some owners/ bosses on the property, and the feeling we had wasn't pleasant... nothing wrong with checking your staff and property, but the all other staff didn't feel good and that was visible to all guests.

The property had everything we needed to have a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and cleaned the beach daily so we had easy access into the beautiful blue water. Even with people coming in for day trips it never felt too busy. We booked snorkeling through the hotel which was great and alot of fun. The rooms are very bare bones but are well equipped with everything you need. Would definitely recommend!

The hotel is very nice (but basic), green and has a beautiful sandy beach. The food is good, even if quite repetitive if you stay longer. The cocktails and lemonades are amazing! The best part of our stay was the staff - helpful and always smiling. They work very hard and yet they always find the time and strength to stop and smile to the guests.

We had a booking issue, one night we had to move to a different hotel. This made me apreciate even more Isla del Sol, Mangata hotel close by is bad. The tourists that come the hotel in day trips during the day are quite noisy.

Great location, friendly staff. Excellent location of room looking out to sea. Super snorkelling tour with Nando. Great kayaking on kayaks provided by hotel, also borrowed the bikes several times to go to the village and swim at Playa Libre. It was interesting to be able to see Island life while on bikes. Delicious fish for dinner.

We chose a room with fan- we would have been more comfortable with an air conditioned room…. But probably wouldn’t have got such a great view. The snorkelling tour with Islas del Sol was excellent. A bioluminescence tour was also offered which the staff book you on with an outside operator. I booked this and was taken on a night snorkelling tour where we were able to see a small amount of bioluminescence for a few minutes at the end of torches were tuned off. It was good night snorkelling tour if you want to go night snorkelling, but this was not what I wanted to do. Be careful when booking a bioluminescence tour, I was disappointed.

Beautiful location with great facilities. The private beach is stunning and the pool area is great for relaxation. The rooms are lovely and well kept- very spacious with comfortable beds. The hotel offers lots of tours and excursions. We did the walking tour of the local village/mangroves which was a very different experience. We also did the snorkelling which was amazing! 100% recommend for a few days in paradise!

Most days a large number of visitors arrive for a day trip which means it can get very busy around the pool area and at the beach. These trips tend to leave around 3pm and so after this the resort is much quieter. It is worth considering that the transport back to Cartagena is limited to very specific times. Some members of our group had to leave a day earlier than planned because of this to ensure they caught their flight. Just worth checking before you go!
