this hotel was located on a hill in the jungle, approximately 1 mile from the beach (with an ocean view from the main house/pool). it was SO quiet and peaceful. the food was spectacular. every employee and the owner miriam were delightful. i feel so profoundly relaxed after being here - i take it with me in my heart. also, close driving distance to multiple local beaches. some days, we couldn't even bare to leave because it was such a healing environment. Thank you and Pura Vida!

Look forward to the coastal roads being paved one day, but it was navigable with an all-wheel drive SUV.

- The service, food, view, pool, and massive rooms were incredible! Loved pretty much everything about the place. We saw a bunch of cute animals too.

- The roads surrounding the location are pretty terrible. If it rains you might get or be stuck. If you go to the hotel you NEED a 4x4 car, extremely bumpy, muddy, there's two small bodies of water you need to cross. I was told you needed to come from the north side to avoid the roads and water but it's not true as you might get stuck if it rains heavy. You can easily stay in Nosara and still get to Ostional for the turtles etc. A bridge is currently being built which will be very helpful in the near future.

A beautiful little property with a lovely staff :-) We planned our trip months ahead of time hoping to catch an "arribada" (mass turtle arrival), and although we missed that event, the hotel staff hooked us up with a local guide who took us to the beach at night to see turtles nesting. The staff at the hotel was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The property is in a lovely setting, with a fantastic view from the pool area. If in the area, I highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel! We will definitely be back!

Can't think of anything to improve!

We stayed 6 nights at the Luna Azul. It‘s a magical place. Its located in the forest with a view over the ocan. We could see monkeys, iguanas and even a coati. There are so many birds and butterflys. The bungalows are very comfortable and the outsideshower added the special touch. The staff was very friendly and helped us organising tours. The restaurant is delicius and we enjoyed the large breakfast.

This hotel is beautiful and the staff was lovely. Yummy breakfast every day and we ate most of our dinners there too.

My only complaints are that I searched for a room for four people at a beachfront property. The hotel is in a lovely setting and has an ocean view but is 1.2 miles from the closet beach. Also, there was an additional charge of $60 per person after the first two people which I wasn’t expecting and thought was excessive

The staff were wonderful about the needs of my husband’s walking disabilities. All staff were attentive in a most kind and friendly way. The smaller size is a very nice boutique hotel. Also, the food was OUTSTANDING! Absolutely top shelf! Great location as we saw Turtle nesting at Playa Ostional .

We would appreciate coffee in our room as we are early risers.

the grounds are so peaceful and beautifully maintained. lovely atmosphere. bungalow was amazing- the little back deck with a fan, the outdoor shower, comfortable bed- all was perfect. food was delicious and staff so kind and gracious. wonderful pool with a lovely view of the ocean.

the property is perfect. but to go anywhere it is absolutely necessary to have a car- no walking at all is possible in the area.

I loved the location, views and our bungalow. The breakfasts were exceptional! There was a very comfortable family feel there between the staff and guests. The last morning from my shower I saw butterflies, hummingbirds and a Pizote jumping through the trees. What an amazing stay!

Everyone is really nice and helpful what is not to like. You have to be a little bit adventurous to go there but a beautiful spot.

Things that no one can control being the road is little rough like I said be adventurous.

Beautiful location. Tranquil surroundings. The rooms are clean. The staff is amazing. They arranged a title tour for us. Breakfast was excellent. The pool area is very nice.

We liked everything. We were not aware the Chef was off on Tuesdays. We were really looking forward to having a super meal.
