We were fascinated by the whole hotel complex. The rooms, reception and kitchen are designed with style and creativity. The pool is a perfect place to chill at any time of the day and kind of magic. There is a fireplace for the guests in front of the hotel which makes evenings even more cozy. The personal is very friendly. The neighborhood is a quiet one. There is a beach bar and several places to eat not far away from the hotel (20 - 30 min walk or 5 min to drive). The beach (playa negra) is not overrun and we like it due to its relaxed atmosphere.

We spent there three days and our room was not cleaned. Due to the sand of beaches this would be nice. Bathrooms separated from the sleeping room only by a curtain (this can be seen on the pictures).

We had so much fun here on a weekend getaway. The hosts Karin and Oliver were wonderful. It was lovely to see someone living out their dreams! We happened to be there on a weekend where they were hosting a circus retreat and ended with a show and bbq, then live cuban band. We also tried the trapeze which none of us had ever had the opportunity to do. Who would have thought we'd do it near a remote beach in Costa Rica? We had a great time!

All of it is just great. Felt like living in a little jungle paradise for 4 days. The owners Karen and Olivier were amazing hosts, always engaging in good conversation, which made the stay feel even more cozy. We did the trapeze class and it was fantastic as well. Gracias y hasta pronto!

Thank you Karin, Oliver and Cooper for a great week! I loved lounging by the pool and my acrobatic session. I absolutely recommended trying a trapeze or acrobatics class with Karin, sooo much fun! The rooms are lovely and unique! Reina and Hilcia will tend to you and prepare your breakfast. I honestly didn’t want to leave, I extended my stay 2 nights. And my absolute favorite, it is pet friendly and Cooper is an amazing dog! I wouldn’t change anything about my week!

The only thing is the drive into Finca Pargos, but because I have a sedan so a dirt road can be tricky, in summer it is still manageable. I would also say have additional food options.

Our family of four fell in love with this place. We didn't want to leave this small piece of paradise. Comfy beds, cosy spaces, the pool is out of this world. Close to the beach and places to grab a bite. Can't wait to go back in January!!

The location is great. In the middle of a lush garden. The pool is awesome. One of the best we have seen in terms of serenity. The beds are super comfy. Rooms are large. Staff is very helpful. Check-in was easy. Breakfast was tasty.

The lodge needs more maintainance. The rooms are nice. But the overall condition of the property and garden needs more work. It is still acceptable but not 4 or 5 standard. The chairs at the pool were not usable (dirty). The breakfast options is extremely limited (either a domestic Choice or an intercontinental (toast, jam, egg, coffee). Check-out a bit slow. Sound insulation is not good. We had rooms in the basement and could hear every step of our neighbors upstairs.

The hotel is nice, spacious rooms, comfy bed, nice bathroom with natural light, adequate night lights, easy access to the room, the kitchen of the hotel they permitted me to use it to warm up some food, the hosts very gracious.

Everything was incredible at this gem of a place. The room was spacious and clean, the pool was stunning and the firepit in the evening was a big bonus. But more than that, the staff were superb. Embarrassingly our Spanish is terrible but the staff were warm, patient, kind and informative. I wish I could remember everyone's names who helped us out but special thanks to Marco, Angie and Saul (I think), who kindly gave us a lift to the local restaurant as we don't have a car. The whole team went above and beyond, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat.
