La Ramona Charming Hotel truly has it all—this is hands down the best place to be in Tamarindo. From the moment I arrived, the staff’s friendliness and warmth made me feel right at home. The breakfast each morning was absolutely incredible—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. For the value, you honestly can’t beat it. My room was bright, air-conditioned, and spotless, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The common area is gorgeous, complete with a sparkling swimming pool that’s perfect for cooling off in the afternoons. I felt completely safe and relaxed the entire time. If you’re coming to Tamarindo, look no further—this is where you want to be.

I LOVE staying here. I have stayed here before and booked it again for this trip!! It is quiet, which is important in Tamarindo. The walk to the beach is easy and I would do it every morning. It's also easy to get to the stores, grocery and restaurants . I even walked home at night with no problems. This time I stayed in a new room which was LARGE, comfortable incredibly clean and very quiet. the other rooms are also quite large, fun outdoor showers and very clean. My favorite part of staying at La Ramona is it's small, but still private. And the owners treat you like family. There's breakfast every morning, which they make for you!! They have a guard at night and locked gate, even though it feels very safe in this area. They have also added little gym which is perfect to keep up a workout routine if you want to. The location really can't be beat and is really one of the best places for the money.

We had such a great stay here! Not only was the hotel aesthetically pleasing and super cozy, but the location was perfect. It was close to everything we needed. Big shoutout to Pavel, the hotel manager because he went above and beyond to make sure we felt taken care of. He was super accommodating, gave us amazing recommendations and answered all our questions with patience and kindness. Honestly, he helped complete the whole experience. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for both comfort and great vibes!

I LOVED staying here… my room was so comfortable and has exactly what I needed. It really was like staying with family you like. Maria took lovely care of my room and panel, the owner, made sure everything was perfect. They make breakfast for you in the morning and it’s good!! Fruit, juice, eggs, toast… just what you need before start your adventure for the day. My favorite was taking a shower outside… it was so refreshing a different.

That the new rooms aren't finished!! When panel is finished with his expansion the guests who are lucky enough to get one of his upstairs rooms will have an amazing view and experience!!!

First time in Costa Rica and this is definitely the best hotel, the breakfast is awesome which is cooked for you in the morning and you have a choice of what to eat, it was definitely enough for half a day 😉. It has a mini gym with air conditioning. I stayed in a brand new hotel with a very large bathroom and the most beautiful sunrise and sunset views! The bed and linens are all wonderful. This is definitely the best place in Tamarindo, very quiet and cozy, I felt like family! I will definitely come back here again.

The hotel owner and his staff were extremely friendly and helpful. On the last day, we needed to check out early, and they kindly prepared breakfast before the standard time. The room was a great size, very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was large with a huge sink, which my friend and I loved. Breakfast was well-served with various options

The hotel is not so close to the beach, but it was not a big issue. The hotel is expanding, so the workers started working very early, and the noise was disturbing. I understand they could adjust the schedule because construction noise around 7/8 AM was really bothersome. The bed size could be larger considering there is plenty of space in the room.

We stayed here for 15 days in the room with the outdoor shower and bathtub. It was very unique and romantic. The room has a king sized bed which is very comfortable. I highly recommend walking to the beach (10 minutes) as parking can be very tricky as it's all parallel. There are about 40 restaurants within a 15 minute walk which we greatly enjoyed. The breakfast was big and they would change it up if you asked. The owner Pablo was excellent. He did our laundry twice for no charge and aired up a tire on my rental car when it was low.

My only recommendation would be to put a set of plates and utensils in the room in case guests have leftovers they want to eat.

I had an amazing experience! The hotel is close to Tamarindo Beach, so it’s easy to walk there, and all restaurants, and shops are close too. And at same time it’s a further from all noisy night activities. Therefore, it was possible to sleep peacefully in silence. There is also a pool and some nice garden spaces to relax. The rooms have air conditioning, private bathrooms, and a little terrace where you can sit. It feels quiet and peaceful, which I liked. Outdoor bath is amazing! The owners are very helpful and can help with tours or activities if you want to explore more of the area. Overall, it’s a nice place if you’re looking for something elegant and close to the beach.
