The homemade breakfasts provided by Laura MADE OUR STAY EXCEPTIONAL! The staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful but we really had a special connection with Laura! She was always so kind and her breakfasts were absolutely fantastic! We appreciated even the small things - the extra hooks in the room, the umbrellas and chairs to take to the beach, the fresh water outside shower, the foot pool! We adored the cat we called “Mr Mittens”. He was so friendly and lovable! The pool was cleaned daily and was a wonderful addition to cool off when you didn’t want to go to the beach.

Nothing! Everything was great! I did request they shut the garden lights off at night. The rooms were a little too bright for me so I slept with a mask. I liked the upstairs bedroom but it had a large window up high where a lot of light came in. So, I changed rooms. But, staff were always so helpful! I’d go there again in a heartbeat!!

The staff were really helpful and friendly, and we felt really welcome. There was a nice courtyard with a pool, and the downstairs rooms have a little outdoor space linked to the pool. There was free coffee in the morning, and free ice and drinking water all the time. We had a fridge in the room which was was nice. There were safes in the rooms. Bed were comfy and everything was very clean, decor was modern and felt personal. Breakfast was tasty traditional Costa Rican style (gallo pinto and fruit, or omelettes). The location is good, if you want to be central - next door to a park which has a Saturday market, one block from the beach, loads of good cafes and restaurants around. All around a good budget option.

The breakfast was expensive at fifteen dollars - the most expensive we had in Costa Rica! But there are lots of bakeries and breakfast eateries very close by, so don't let that put you off. A kettle in the room would have been nice. Tamarindo is a party town, and we could hear the music from bars and clubs in the evening (we were offered earplugs), but this didn't disturb my sleep. If you are a light sleeper and go to bed early, you might chose a hotel more out of the centre of town.

We had a fantastic stay at Ten North Hotel in the heart of Tamarindo. The location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk to the beach and right in the vibrant city center, making it easy to explore everything the town has to offer. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless, with the added bonus of being poolside. It was great to start the day with a refreshing swim and, in the evening, relax by the pool with a cold ginger ale in hand. Breakfast was delicious, but what truly made our stay special was the hospitality of Juan and Karol—they went above and beyond to share their local tips and recommendations. Such wonderful people! We highly recommend Ten North Hotel for anyone visiting Tamarindo. Looking forward to coming back!

The location is key. It's located very close to the supermarket shops liquor store bars and restaurants. Plus a 15 minute walk to the beach entrance.Also It's next to the Impressive Tamarindo open market. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot with good water pressure. The WiFi was very good. The TV has a working HDMI cable for Fire Stick purposes however you'll need a 6ft cable to connect to the power outlet. The AC was fantastic and the ceiling fan kept it very comfortable. Overall the room feels like a charming bedroom. The pool is small but very functional and clean. The hotel pictures online are very accurate.. Honestly my favorite hotel since I've been to Costa Rica. I would highly recommend staying here!

The safe is very tricky to operate. You need a PhD to figure it out.

The breakfast was excellent, always fresh, service was excellent and a great variety. We were travelling with ages 9 through 75 and there was something for everyone each and every day. The staff is the best, friendly, helpful, supportive and committed to ensuring we had a great visit. We were there over Christmas and asked if they could pick up a Christmas tree for the children, they got us one, set it up, and decorated it. This was our second visit to Costa Rica, we have stayed here both times, and if we go again would stay at Ten North.

Karol and Juan were great hosts, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Location is great and feels secluded once inside despite the central location. Very clean and well maintained. Great breakfast thanks to Laura! Filtered water and ice machine a welcome extra. Managed to park inside the gate, but security on throughout the night, so felt very safe. No problem with noise that some reviews had mentioned and we were there over a Friday and Saturday night. Even made friends with the resident cat (we called her Meryl)

Accommodations were on point. The room was beautiful. The staff was lovely. The breakfast was amazing They were so congenial and helpful with rides to and from the airport very hospitable, 10 out of 10 all around!!

Everything the skate park next door to the hotel hosts a Saturday morning market. That was just wonderful, very close to downtown. Everything was so convenient and all around amazing experience.

The hotel itself is excellent, the staff is very helpful, everything is fine. The problem, which the hotel is not responsible for, is the town of Tamarindo itself - if you are not a night club dancer, avoid the town, because you will hear the rumble of the disco until three in the morning and a flock of extremely loud birds will arrive at four. If you want to party until the early morning, Tamarindo is a good choice, but otherwise don't go there at all. But as I wrote above, the hotel is excellent and is not responsible for any of the above.

Nice common area with pool. Rooms are well equipped and clean. Good location off the very busy main road.

Rooms are too noisy. I woke up every morning when the kid next door started talking to her mother around six AM. Loud music is playing during the night from all corners of Tamarindo. If you are sensitive to noise consider staying somewhere else. You might even want to re-consider going to Tamarindo in the first place. The kids loved the beach here, and we dont reget spending a couple of days in Tamarindo, but there are like a million other places in Costa Rica that I would rather visit. But that is a matter of preference and purpose of your stay I guess. Many people will find Ten North very appealing but it is not for all.

Great location 5 minutes walk from the beach but tucked away on a side street away from the busier roads. We requested a vegan breakfast when we booked and Laura cooked different dishes for us every day. From traditional Costa Rican, vegan omelette to pancakes (which were the highlight). Our room was poolside. It had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. There was a white noise machine to use in case of any noise during the night time but we found it wasn't necessary and switched it off. Pool was perfect for a quick dip to cool off and to relax by.
