I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ocho Artisan Bungalows Beach Front Hotel and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning beauty of the property. The bungalows were beautifully designed and the attention to detail was impeccable. The service at Ocho Artisan Bungalows was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. From arranging tours to recommending the best local restaurants, they were always there to assist with a smile. But what truly set Ocho Artisan Bungalows apart was their beachfront restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and the views were breathtaking. I enjoyed every meal I had there, from the fresh seafood to the flavorful cocktails. It was the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the beautiful beaches. Overall, I cannot recommend Ocho Artisan Bungalows Beach Front Hotel enough. The property is truly spectacular and the location cannot be beat. If you're looking for a wonderful beachfront getaway with top-notch service and incredible dining options, look no further than Ocho Artisan Bungalows. I will definitely be returning in the future.

The location was perfectly located right on the beach and by the Main Street of restaurants and bars. We stayed in bungalow 10 and it was so comfortable for our group of 4! This hotel made a lasting memory on our trip to Tamarindo!

One of our rooms had no AC due to mini split system outage. Also, we arranged airport pickup to hotel via the hotel concierge. When we were dropped off at hotel the taxi guy requested $100 USD. We later found out we should not have spent more than $65 so I would suggest not going through concierge at hotel for ride or booking tours as the price will be inflated. Instead book direct with tours.

What a beautiful little hideaway nestled beachside within walking distance to nearly everything. Staying here was a dream come true, and more than I had ever imagined. Our bungalow was incredibly charming and fully equipped with everything required for a leisurely stay. Every detail of our accomodations was so comfortable and inviting that I wanted to just stay in the room and soak up the atmosphere. However, the beach was so beautiful, we couldn't resist. The restaurant was absolutely amazing, and served the finest tuna that I have ever had! The staff and the owner were so very attentive, offering personalized service. I had such an amazing time at this resort, that I am planning another trip back to the very same place.

When we first arrived, I was concerned about the unkept road leading in and the small reception area. Don't let that concern you. Once you have checked in, you will be escorted through the magical resort to your accommodations. Prepare to be impressed!

We had a fantastic stay! The villa was spacious and super comfy, with a big bathroom and a hot tub that was perfect for winding down. The bed was decent. The pool was a total highlight: clean, with cool water features, never too busy, and we always snagged a lounge chair (there aren’t tons, but enough to go around). Service was top-notch — the staff were all lovely, super friendly, and attentive. For a resort at this level, daily water delivery to the room would be a nice touch (even just in a glass jug!), but everything else was spot on. Breakfasts were great, and good restaurant food overall. Location-wise, it’s hard to beat: gorgeous beach, soft clean sand, fun waves for swimming, and great people-watching. Just a short stroll to Tamarindo town for restaurants, shops, and all kinds of activities. Loved being in the heart of the action while still feeling tucked away in a relaxing space!

We had a lovely stay at the resort overall - the property is well-maintained, the service was great, and the location is absolutely beautiful. One thing to note is that the main restaurant is situated on a public beachfront. From Thursday to Saturday, there's a DJ from Ocho playing high-volume electronic music from around noon to 9pm. It's a lively scene with lots of people eating, drinking, and dancing — definitely a fun vibe if you're traveling with friends or looking for a party atmosphere. However, if you're a couple seeking a more tranquil, serene getaway, the beach area can feel quite busy and noisy, especially with other loud music sources nearby. It's worth considering what kind of holiday experience you're after — this might be perfect for some, but a bit too noisy for others.

The location is unbeatable - on Tamarindo beach at the end of the strip of hotels/restaurants hidden within the dense trees. Walking distance to downtown Tamarindo and also to Playa Langosta. The room was stunningly romantic with a focus on rich wood and textiles. The service was amazing and personalized. Everyone was exceedingly friendly and eager to please. Highly recommend!

They had wifi within the rooms and common areas, but sometimes it didn't really work well (despite ensuring I was on the correct network) so I had to use my data every once in a while. I didn't need to use my phone a lot so it wasn't that big of an issue. I didn't bring it up to them so it's possible that they could have easily fixed it if I had.

Bungalow itself was nice and nicely appointed. location to the beach was great.

I wouldn’t classify Ocho as a 5-star luxury resort. Too many details and maintenance issues - open air bathrooms are unique, but require maintenance/repair, outdoor beach furniture need repair/cleaning/replacement, restaurant/parking/kitchen/reception is convoluted to the point where the back-of-the-house operations distract from the experience. Music and club atmosphere was fun, but difficult/constant for the two bedroom beachfront bungalow - maybe a bit more serenity before 2-3pm if wanting to attract a more luxury clientele.

The property is amazing. It is tucked away as its own private Oasis in the middle of a busy town. You would have no idea that the bungalows exist if you didn't stay there. While in the bungalows (which are big and comfortable), you have no idea that you can quickly walk to so many restaurants, bars, shops, etc. We had a pool and beach view from our bungalow. It was so nice to have the option of the privacy of the pool or the action on the beach, both just steps away. The staff was amazing and welcoming. We can't wait to return.

The shower water was cold, but everything else was wonderful so it was worth it.

The Bungalow was amazing! Not like anything we would ever be able to experience anywhere else. The location was great, but the really WONDERFUL thing was the staff. They were all extremely friendly and went above and beyond for us. I can't say enough about them--especially Mike and Jocelyn.

They really need to upgrade their lounge chairs on the beach. I realize they are not your typical resort--very eclectic and cool, but it's just not practical for laying in the sun on the beach. We found that very inconvenient.

As we went offseason, it was fairly quiet, which was perfect. The facilities were great as was the staff. The room was beautiful and we loved sitting on the front porch. We met the owner and his wife and they were kind and generous. The location is great, although since it was rainy season, the road to the town was quite muddy. Steps from the beautiful beach. The town was cute and loved the people. I would most certainly stay here again.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Ocho Bungalows, where the welcoming staff made us feel right at home. Our room by the pool was beautiful, spotless and spacious, with a stunning view that set the perfect mood for our getaway. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and top-notch amenities. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing, luxurious stay. We will surely return
