We felt safe at property, they have staff at front and they help cross street to other side of property. The pools were awesome and saw holler monkeys and iguanas! Awesome sunsets at 6 pm and eat at hotel restaurant to watch sunset. Hotel can coordinate transportation from Liberia airport it takes 90 minutes. In the morning walk the beach to the right of hotel to watch surfers and find shells. Thursday night market about 15 minute walk from hotel with delicious food and local vendors with great merchandise. We bought bottled water in grocery store close by hotel. Sunscreen is expensive, make sure to bring a good supply.

It would be nice if hotel had filtered water station to fill water bottles.

Breakfast very good. Beautiful view from the whole hotel. Swimming pool clean. Room very comfortable. Very clean hotel. Top service. This is probably the best hotel you can find in Tamarindo.

The rooms are not isolated very well, but luckily the road becomes very quiet after 10 PM. If you are not a surfer and are coming to enjoy the beach, then Tamarindo is the wrong location. The sea is completely black. You have to drive to Playa Conchal for a clear sea with white sand beaches.

Great location, close to everything and easy to walk everywhere. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The ceiling fan in the room was a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were amazing and the pools and beach were so relaxing. The transport service was great, we booked our return trip to the airport four hours before our flight like the suggested but in the day we were supposed to leave, there was major construction on the road and the staff made sure to make us aware and get us going earlier than we booked so we wouldn’t miss our flight. They got us to the airport with time to spare despite the traffic that was very backed up

The resort is beautiful, the included breakfast was excellent, the views are stunning and the location is perfect.

The oceanfront rooms are really outdated. The bathroom is tiny, really too small for a couple to share. The rooms are also noisy with very poor sound insulation.

Overall had a pleasant experience, especially because we chose an adults-only room. This gave us a sense of privacy and tranquility, which we really appreciated. The location is also excellent, the area is full of restaurants and everything is easily accessible, whether you’re looking to explore the beach, grab a bite to eat, or book an activity. The stuff was very friendly as well. We enjoyed the calm atmosphere and the convenient location, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

One major inconvenience was the hairdryer setup in the bathroom. It was attached inside a drawer, with the cord running through it, making it nearly impossible to use comfortably. You basically had to lean into the drawer to dry your hair. Another downside was the breakfast. While the basics were covered, the variety was quite limited, especially for vegetarians. There were very few alternatives, and no plant-based milk options at all, which was disappointing given the otherwise modern setting of the hotel.

The location on the beach, the view, access to the beach, the plantings are beautiful and very well maintained, the food is very good and fairly priced. It’s also located in Tamarindo close to shops, restaurants. We’ve been to CR five times and think the Diria is the best value.

The hotel sits close to the road and at times from your room you can hear traffic, particularly large trucks struggling to get through…. You are in a good size town. If you want isolation this isn’t it. We moved from the Diria to the W to complete our stay and now I’m looking a the parking lot and shipping containers for$1k a night,

This hotel went above and beyond. We stayed for 10 nights and we had the best experience. Breakfast was always delicious, I do not agree with other reviews that said breakfast was bad or bland. It was delicious and wonderful to have at the hotel versus having to go out and find a spot to eat. We had a beautiful view of the pool, we're right at the beach in the middle of all our favorite places. Restaurants of all kinds of cuisine for everyone's liking, a market down the road a short walk to grab ice cream 🍦. I would recommend this spot to anyone, we have been to many places in tamarindo and this one we will continue to go back to.

The hotel room would get quite noisy some nights, doors near us closing could be heard very abruptly. That's my only complaint.

Location- great beach! Great restaurants so close!

We were in the old building right on the beach side amazing ocean view. Walk out our door you have everything. We were room 119. Loved it.

Bed & Pillows were not that comfortable for a higher end hotel.

The property location is awesome. Literally on the beach with various restaurants and an ice cream shop. The food was top quality and delicious. The staff was great and the property was clean and well maintained.

I was disappointed by the quality and value of the room. the beds were ok, the bed linens and blankets were low quality, no hotel robes, the safe didn’t lock, and the bathroom toiletries were extremely minimal. Overall the room was too basic for the price. Nothing luxurious or extra about it.
