Wonderful stay! Clean, spacious rooms, with private deck, sitting area/hammock, and breakfast included every morning! Josue and the rest of the staff were so welcoming, helpful and accommodating! As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe, secure and cared for. The location was perfect, a peaceful walk, crosses a bridge through the mangroves to a gorgeous beach. It was one of the loveliest vacation stays I have ever experienced. Highly recommend! Tyy I’ll definitely be recommending this gem of a place to my friends and fam. Until next time!! Xoxo Giselle

We really enjoyed our 5 night stay here. The price is extremely fair for the room, facilities, grounds and surrounding area. There are about 5 cabins on the large, shady grounds. Each cabin is divided into two guest units. We enjoyed the daily sightings of iguanas and monkeys. There is nothing glamorous or fancy about the cabins or grounds, but we liked it very much. Guests were all quiet and friendly. The included breakfast, other to-order meals, restaurant and bar are great, with a friendly staff. Feel at home in your swimsuit and a tee shirt anytime of the day. Our cabin interior was comfortable, with daily cleaning and bedding making. The room could use a deep cleaning and modernization... but for the room rate, it's a great value. We used the front porch with table, chairs and hammock each day. There is a private, elevated wood-plank walkway to the beautiful white-sand beach. The walkway is perhaps 250 yards long, through a mangrove restauration area. The beach is awesome.... great for enjoying the 82 degree year 'round water temp, sunshine and waves. You can look over a mile in each direction and see only sporadic beach-goers. It is not overcrowded and commercial like the similar beaches of the nearby Tamarindo area. There are a couple of great, casual beach-front restaurants/bars within an easy walk on the beach. They both offer beach chairs and shaded tables Both have good food and drinks at normal beach prices. In the neighborhood around the cabins, within 1/4 to 1/2 mile, are a few other good restaurants and a lively open-air food court with a half-dozen good food options. Though we spent some time driving to near-by towns and Tamarindo for a couple of days, we really fell in love with the laid-back immediate area of our cabin...,. typical Costa Rican charm and lovely people.

There are very few electrical outlets in the room.

The access to the beach is the best in the area - private to the accomodation and with Howler Monkeys providing the wake up call. Super friendly staff and great breakfast included in the stay. There are other restaurants in the area, but we didn't bother as the food was yummy and we enjoyed the ease of heading back to our room. The room had more amenities (e.g. fridge) than we expected and having porch with hammock to relax at the end of the day was really great.

I'd recommend that they update the amenities on their website - it wasn't clear that there was air conditioning and a fridge in the room

My stay was great. I looked for a quiet place close to the ocean. it was exactly that. the 5 min walk in solitude on the path through the mangroves swamp to the ocean was out of this world. the accommodation appears a bit dated, but it was clean, plenty of space and very comfortable. It felt safe. a few hundred meters up the road outside the property were nice little eateries. the included breakfast was basic CR fare and I liked it. wished also had some fruit and cheese. but no big deal. overall, I enjoyed it very much and would stay again!

nothing really

The food at the hotel restaurant is so fresh and delicious. The staff is super friendly and the customer service they provide is excellent! The grounds are so peaceful and you're truly immersed in nature. Best of all, if you're a surfer, you have direct access to world-class waves.

The room was a little outdated and in need of general maintenance and better cleaning.

Beautiful property w much wildlife including iguanas and monkeys and redwinged grasshoppers. Lovely walk thru mangroves to wide beach. Comfortable cabinas. Two units in each building and sometimes a little noisy w neighbors

Not always an easy road to get there w large potholes. They were working to improve the road surface so may be better now

I found this gem of a place in 2022 and was excited to come back! Set in the nature, with private and unique path to the beach, grabbing a surf from the rental shop on site and getting to the beach early is a magic ...the cabins are comfortable and beds are spacious. Sebastian, the manger, was friendly and helpful attending to us during our short but busy stay! Can't wait to come back and stay for days to fully immerse.

Maybe beach towels would be handy...otherwise cannot think of anything else.

It was so charming. The room was plenty big and attractive. The food was great. There were monkeys in the trees. I thought the value was excellent.

The walk to the beach was disconcerting. The boardwalk was very long and full of holes. We had to watch our step closely. We thought going to the beach at night would be very dangerous.

Location, vibe, and staff are outstanding.

We are mountain wimps and the warm temps are tough on us. The little AC unit couldn't quite keep up but otherwise everything was fantastic! I realize many people in CR don't have or need AC, and we adjusted after a couple days, it was just a touch warm the first couple days for us cold-weather people.

lush, full of wildlife: many birds, monkeys, iguanas, guanacaste grasshoppers. Nice cafe/restaurant on site Great walk to beach through mangroves Very friendly staff

Some nights a little noisy (cabins are semidetached and easy to hear neighbors)
