SunBeach resort is quite big area on the sea-coast in Ialyssos. We loved the facilities which were clean, food which was tasty and particularly staff we met on daily basis both in the dining areas or within the time of cleaning services. Anyway, some hesitations we have on mind, see bellow......

When I am on holiday I do not want to be involved into repairs of electricity in the building/room ApoloWing 257. First total colaps of electricity took some 10hours, than fridge did not work for some 6 hours. Also air-condition produced more noise than cold air. I don´t know from what reason the restaurant staff did not suply the guests with tea spoons automatically. You have to go to the specific place and ask particularly for the small spoons, or, you can use big soup-spoon to mix your espresso. This is inappropriate according to my opinion.

Well, I tend to be quite critical and often point out flaws. I had some fears prior to our arrival reading the comments. However, we had the best experience at the property. I have had chance to travel around the world, from China to Mexico, Russia, USA, all around Europe, but never felt so good as it was there. It was clean, the stuff was exceptional. We arrived with our 2-year-old son and i was pregnant (2nd trimester) and the hotel catered all our needs perfectly. Me and my son are on glutenfree diet and they prepared everything for us separately ensuring all diet criteria. Savvas ( the manager of the restaurant) was highly supportive and took into consideration all of our expectations. The food were very tasty, freshly made and various. I can just recommend the hotel for everyone, we are planning to return next year.

No negative experience, only good!

Very clean well equipped room albeit a bit dated … loved the infinity pool although had to get down there for 8am to reserve beds … all staff friendly and helpful … proper quality place … excellent choice at breakfast … highly recommend in our opinion !!! We paid for a sea view and it was worth it … love this place !!! 👍🏻😎😉

Bit dated in places … didn’t appear to be air-con in reception … got note on car for parking Rodos car in car park as they push Sun Car hire … thought that was a bit off … it is what it is … overall cracking place and plenty of good shops and eateries nearby !!! 😎

The reception and pool areas (specifically the adults only) are beautiful, luxurious and modern! We only stayed the one day before a late flight but it seemed comfortable and the kitchenette had everything you needed. We also were treated with a free bottle of wine and fresh fruit was to totally unexpected and a lovely touch, thank you!

The rooms haven’t been updated in a while so they seemed in contrast to the rest of the hotel It’s also quite close to the airport and on the flight path so airplanes are quite loud directly overhead and common - this was expected booking here though as we wanted near the airport!

We stayed in one of the ground floor premium rooms, close to the beach. We loved the pool areas! The adults pool is quite luxurious. The pool restaurant was good too. Beach is stony so you need swimshoes. (can be bought in supermarket across the street) Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. :)

Our patio was small but with our own sunbeds.It had roof over it, yet every morning the floor was wet due to water sprinklers and due to cleaning the restaurant floor upstairs. One morning we were soaked having breakfast. Also our daughter slipped a couple of times on the stone floor and hit her head as the floor was so wet. This needs to be fixed as it's really dangerous! Also, the grass just outside our apartment looked inviting on the pictures, but it was too wet and muddy to play on unfortunately. Also, I believe the pictures of the outside area are not accurate - they're from the building next door with the seaview apartments. The beds are soft and comfortable, but on wheels! So whenever we were leaning back the bed moved. Very strange.

Very nice location directly at the beach, nice staff, entertainment programs (sport: yoga, stretching, Zumba, fitness on the beach, aqua gym; in the evening: dance or acrobatics shows, bingo, karaoke etc). The food was also very good (all you can eat buffet). We booked a double room but we got a gratis upgrade (double room+ children's room + kitchen) because it was available

The photo on booking.com doesn't correspond to the reality (it is a mistake: in the room with garden view it was the photos of a room with sea view). Everything was wonderful, if i really have to say something negative maybe I can just say that the furniture in the room was very simple and not that modern like the rest of the hotel and the key card to enter the room doesn't work very well

Very spacious family room with huge balcony, kitchen, 2 separate bedrooms, was cleaned and towels were changed every day. Amazing and very tasty food for breakfast and dinner, great variety of food choises on dinner, always some national greek dishes. You can always find free sunbeds near the pool. Amazing aquagym each day with cool dances and music. Sea beach just near the hotel.

All drinks during the dinner (even water) and sunbeds near the sea for extra charge. Poor wi-fi in the room, but better in the lobby. Old-fashioned hairdryer.

The hotel is in a very good place, on the shore of the Aegean sea, nearby on the road lots of little stores and taverns within just a few minutes walk. On the other side of the road within 1 minute walk there is a little train stop that goes by every hour with a sightseeing tour of the city. The breakfast was nice.There are also 2 restaurants in the hotel, one at the bar by the swimming pools and the other one with a scenic view of the sea. The prices are the same as in the restaurants within a 10-15 minutes walk. There are 5 swimming pools at the hotel - 2 for adults only, 1 for family (deep) and 2 for kids, one of which has an octopus slide. Near the kids pools there is kids playground with a gate to lock if needed. There is a kids club, table for ping pong, field for volleyball, shelves for baggage storage and lockers near the reception. We were with a 4 year old, and ordered the Kids Suite Apartment - we got a kids table with chairs, coloring book and colors, plastic kids kitchenware and also, as a present a t-shirt for him. In the suite we had a kitchen with a little fridge, kitchenware, coffee machine, etc. The air conditioner worked perfectly, we got clean towels every day. On the balcony there was a special rack for laundry drying which was very convenient. Notes: Before arriving we read a lot about the planes going above the hotel and making disturbing noises, we did not see them as disturbing, we would say they were moderate at most, our kid had lots of fun watching the planes so close. At the reception we were told that beach towels are 4 euro per each, we actually had 2 of them in the room so the payment is for the extra ones.

The mattresses were way too soft. Only cable TV. Kids club was a huge disappointment - no air conditioning and very old toys. For almost 24h we were without a soap or shampoo as the dispensers in the room did not work Sunbeds on the beach were not free, 5 euro per each. The Basin tap was in very bad conditions and we had to use both hands to turn on the water. In the shower the water temperature was not stable and kept jumping from freezing to boiling.

Out of some 20 hotels I've stayed in Rodos, Sun Beach is the best one. It all comes from their warm, professional and caring staff, impeccable style and an aura that combines luxury with poolside and beach fun. People like Voula at the front desk are what makes a five star hotel, which is the level that this hotel reaches easily. Fruit, wine and t-shirts for children WITH SIZES THAT ACTUALLY MATCH THEIR AGES were waiting for us in the family suite. That's just such a level of excellence that no one can expect! We were also happy to find that one of the three pool areas has been renovated and is adults only (the main pool area with the children's pool with the octopus water slides is perfect for children) and all previously broken tiles were fixed. New seaside restaurant was very stylish. Excellent food, excellent service. Children's club is supervised, you can actually leave your children there and they will take your contact and room info and there were activities such as pizza baking for the children. Yes, this hotel is expensive but it's so well worth the money. Better than most 5 star hotels I've stayed in. Moitittua ·

Ok. So you've installed a new dedicated Wi-Fi network just for the PS4 and PS5 consoles in the family rooms to improve the ping and bandwidth, which is great, but could you also make sure that the consoles are not corrupted and have credentials that actually allow you to play the games that you provide? The serviceman was able to fix a corrupted flash but not the login and password, thus leaving it unplayable. I think the problem might be that the power and aircon is switched off when you take away your keycard and that might cause the flash corruptions. But yeah, it kind of tells you how great the hotel is if the only complaint I can think of is a non-working game console :)

We had a great time! The room was nice and spacious, with all the necessary amenities. It had a balcony overlooking the sea (but also the dumpsters 😔). There was a shop nearby with reasonable prices, and you could access it directly from the hotel. The restaurant served fresh and delicious food, with a buffet option. There were several pools available. The beach was nearby, but the sunbeds there were chargeable at 5 euros/day, although they were always clean. In the evenings, they organized entertaining shows that were enjoyable for both adults and children.

I didn't notice many downsides, except maybe the fact that the drinks offered by the waiters were three times more expensive than those in the nearby store 😅 Also, the bus stop was located a bit far from the hotel
