At check in we were greeted with a glass of cava and received a complimentary room upgrade. The hotel is in a quite area, overlooking the sea front, 10 minute taxi to old town Estepona. €10~€15 one way. Hotel is very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. No waiting for taxi service. Breakfast is buffet, eggs and omelettes cooked fresh to order in front of you. Excellent variety to suit everyone. Pools are open 10am til 6pm approximately. Ticket system for large pool towels at reception, very convenient. Very well maintained. Pool and snack bar open, array of drinks, sandwiches, pizza and burgers on offer. Reasonable prices. Lobby bar is in reception area. Spa on lower level with many treatments to choose from. Complements to Javier in the spa for my spa treatment. Compliments to all the staff, for a superb break away. Highly recommend.

There could be more staff at night in the lobby bar.

The hotel was very nice, location nd breakfast The pool spa was very nice. The indoor heated pool very nice.

The rooms were not very clean. A lot of dust and dirt on the floor. The spa treatment not very praiseworthy. For 85 Euro you expect more: it was just plain and simple and we were left during 15 min while the mask was on. It would have been nice with something extra then like a massage of the feet or hands. And it would be nice with serum or something to make the facial extra. It felt stressed and not worth the money.

The rooms are really spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Was very clean. Only down fall was the pressure of the water was very hard to shower

The food! I have stayed in all kinds of hotels but the food for a 5 star is not good… we struggled both at breakfast and dinner as we had half board. The only other complaint is the mosquitos! I went in February and the hotel was full of mosquitos which isn’t the season so made me wonder why

Hotel Elba was so clean and well kept. The bedroom was so comfortable and cleaned daily. Breakfast was always so well stocked and the adults only pool area was glorious. So quiet and peaceful. The hotel and its facilities were truly great but the staff made this hotel an exceptional place to stay. Massive thanks to Mario, Maria, Nicole, José and Alvaro and all the other exceptional staff who made hotel Elba feel like a second home with their warm personalities and dedication to giving their guests the best quality service.

The hotel was a little far from the town but a taxi to the centre is very quick and cheap.

The hotel is very nice. The indoor pool is warmed, free and is open from 10:00 to 6:00 pm. For the other SPA facilities you need to pay. We booked rooms with sea view. They were spacious, really spacious. My favorite thing were the mattress and the pillows. I've never slept so well in any hotel! The balcony was spacious as well, decorated with green shrubs. The bathrooms were equipped with a bathtub with a shower, separated shower and separated washroom. We love everything in the room, the bathroom and the balcony. The parking has enough space for guests' cars. Breakfast was amazing. Almost everything you can think of for breakfast was there.

I saw a cockroach running on one of the clean plates for breakfast. I think it's unacceptable for 5 stars hotel. It was sad that we couldn't use the warm indoor pool because of the limited working hours.

Everything was very clean. The service Personal was very friendly and helpful. The room. Cleaning every day in the room was excellent. Also outside in the garden area and pool was very clean.

The breakfast was very good. There was a bit of everything for all. From sweet to salty and also the various drinks. The only thing was the coffee: in all sorts of coffees was the taste of chocolate Asking why there is hot chocolate in the different sorts of coffee- in Spain coffee is made with chocolate taste. This of course is not true, since we Visit Spain in different areas since over 20 years - always got perfect coffee!

The staff was super nice and the hotel is very big (resort like) with different areas including a spa, a gym and an indoor pool open all year. It has direct access to the beach and the outdoor swimming pool area is nice for a swim, relax... Even off season.

The hotel and furniture needs an update, it is not bad, but it looks a bit outdated. Some of the infrastructure should also be improved. Breakfast was good but dinner could have more variety. The hotel is at 10 min drive from the centre of Estepona and the maritime passage, if you aren't travelling by car, you depend on taxi to move around Estepona and nearby places. Hovewer, there is a good connection to nearby towns by bus from Estepona's bus station.

Really excellent staff, nothing too much trouble. Good, well maintained facilities. Room 547 is very spacious and comfortable with a large very private balcony looking straight out to sea, so even in a large hotel you can feel peaceful and relaxed. Aircon efficient and quiet, ceiling fan also a useful alternative. Liked the adults only breakfast area, good idea. Equally, the spa and the adults only pool was at the same end of the hotel as our room, so very convenient for us. Main takeaway if you can feel private in such a busy place then they are doing everything right. Location wise, you are right on the beach, a little way out of Estepona, so not noisy but accessible via the boardwalk if you want to head that way for watersports or variety. Sound of the sea was a lovely surprise and made sunbathing on the balcony even better.

The corridors can get very hot- but possibly in June the internal aircon wasn't on. The buffet restaurant is a little bit soulless. However, the staff are great, food ok, lots of choice and salads, but we preferred the atmosphere in the a la carte restaurants. To note, some of the options in the buffet are almost identical to those on the menu at the a la carte. For example in Al Andaluz restuarant the pan fried prawns and fish main courses were also in the buffet, Prawns cooked to order on a plancha as many as requested.

we liked everything!!! Hotel is BEAUTIFUL. Room was large, great balcony overlooking the sea. Beds were large, bathroom was roomy, room itself was a very generous size. nice soft ambience. Spa is great, pools are large, two pools - heated and outdoors, really great. really a pleasure to be at this hotel. hotel is on the beachfront, being we came before official vacation the place was quiet, clean and empty. couldnt ask for more. Was a great stay and a great vacation. had a great rest and would love to come back here.

we were'nt excited about the beds since they were too soft for us, we like hard(er) mattresses. but beds were large, comfortable, clean, well made so not gonna cry about it. on a technical issue and since i am a construction supervisor and a licensed architect i will say that the toilet was placed too close to the wall so a little uncomfortable to sit on it. could easily have been placed 10 or 15 cm further away from wall and would have been great. otherwise no complaints at all. was really a great vacation and a great stay.

Beautiful room, we got upgraded and the hotel gave us a mini bottle of cava and some chocolates for my husband’s birthday. The bed was huge and very comfortable. We had a wonderful sea view from the 5th floor and watched the sunrise. The check-in staff were very friendly.

It’s on a main road so the view from one side is very noisy but you can only hear it when walking through the corridors to the rooms. The buffet at dinner was okay, not much choice but we went close to closing time. The breakfast buffet was better as we got in there early. I would say the food was mediocre and could be better to match the rest of the hotel. My husband asked the bar staff if he could borrow a bottle opener to open some wine that we bought with us in our room. They told us they didn’t have one.
