Stunning building with amazing views, facilities are excellent and great to walk around. Our room was really beautiful.

The greeting on arrival is always so important. When we turned up with lots of bags we stood at reception with one lady busy checking in another couple and we were just left with no clue about the other lady. Eventually she looked up and checked us in, no warmth or apology for leaving us just stood there. If she was busy then a quick smile and saying “just a minute” would have made all the difference. Waiters seemed a bit overwhelmed we did get there with dinner and reserved table for breakfast but it was only ok.

A magical place. The property itself and especially the amazing view. Way beyond what you could imagine from the photos. The hotel is well maintained and super clean. We asked for a room with a renovated shower room, which was nice and clean. the breakfast is great, and the silence… it’s been a long time since I have experienced this kind of silence. We had a really hard time saying goodbye to this place.

The body and hair care cosmetics were of very poor quality, and there was no hair conditioner provided at all. It was also surprising that water in the rooms was only available for an extra charge — quite unusual for a 4-star hotel. The breakfast restaurant staff were generally unhelpful and, at times, rather rude. On one occasion, we waited for a table to be cleaned, but it never happened, so we ended up cleaning it ourselves.

It is a really nice hotel with a good view. Breakfast was great and staff was nice. You can take a bicycle from hotel and ride a bicycle with a nice view. I wish I would stayed more.

Room that given to us. Room was clean but no scenery. I thought I saw some parts of the lake but it was behind the hotel. Also going to rooms take time as most of the rooms up the hill and you have to either climb or take the elevator.

Well.. a nice surprise. A few years ago, a colleague stayed a few times and did not rate the place. Not sure if it's changed ownership, but it's a beautiful, quirky building, very nicely restored in a mid century kind of way. I was in a room in the 700s which are on the hillside through a James Bond villain tunnel and lift. Nicely appointed room, well done bathroom all super clean. And an actual minibar. With things in it. Proper cups for coffee, not paper. A former colleague joined for dinner in the Cafe, with well presented food and good service, the downstairs bar is really a hidden gem too. All in all, way exceeded my expectations and thoroughly recommend it.

The bed's comfortable but the super size foam pillows are not great for the neck....ended up using a rolled up duvet! A minor point, if you had a pillow menu, it would be awesome

The hotel is set in a scenic forest by a fjord, located in a former hospital. It is clean, offers an authentic breakfast, free tea and coffee, and provides excellent value for money.

The room was small and narrow, but this was clearly stated in the room description. Better pay a little more and get a larger room!

The surroundings, the staff, the food.

We got a room that was not well suited for old people. We did not complain until at departure. Then they told us we should have complained right away. I think hotel reception staff should realise when a lady comes along using a rollator, that she cannot sit on a high bar stool, which is the only sitting facility in the room apart from the bed.

The hotel is beautifull, just by the sea, with excellent view over the bay on a quite place. Room was clean, not so big, but very nice. Design furniture and paintings are very nice. Personnel friendly and helpful. Easy free parking despite quite bussy time. Breakfast offer wide and fresh.

Beautiful location of the hotel and beautiful surroundings, possibility of nice short walks along the shore and in the woods. The family room was nice and spacious. The breakfast buffet was very good, the coffee was already on the tables in pots, the breakfast coffee was excellent.

The sound insulation between the corridor and room could have been a little better, but it did not trouble us much.

As a last minute booking at night, the staff was very helpful and welcoming. To wake up with the amazing lake view and having breakfast in the outside terrace, it was a welcoming surprise.

Booked a 2 single bed room via booking.com and received a 160cm double bed. Not what we expected. Especially if it stated 2 singles. Though the hotel fixed this with some price discount.
