It's close to everything in the town and easy to get to. There's parking not far and even sometimes right behind the restaurant. The area is very historic and the room was clean. Everyone working there was polite and friendly. The food was good at the restaurant and it was nice to be able to get a beer just down stairs.

The shared bathroom was sometimes not stocked with the necessities, like hand tissues. It would be helpful to just have a hand towel changed daily and a floor towel to step out on, also changed daily. The walls are very thin. Also the tea kettle has no power supply. It would be helpful to just have an extension cord or a small table under the outlet next to the bathroom.

Fantastic location! Big and nice room. Very polite and helpful staff. Standard European/Scandinavian breakfast.

Very little storage capacity for personal belongings (almost no wardrobe). No warm food for breakfast, but that was not a big problem. Fantastic location comes with a price: bells on the cathedral chime every 15 min. It may be a problem if you prefer to sleep with opened windows.

Backhaus is located just up the street from the main square and cathedral of Ribe. It’s old, quaint and beautiful, and many rooms have a view of the cathedral! The rooms are small, cute, and decorated in a simple way that fits with the old building.

The rooms, while comfortable, do not have their own bathrooms, and the doors are very easy to hear through, so anything in the hallways is very audible.

Great location in the heart of the town. Small cozy hotel with a restaurant down stairs. The building is old so the floors creak, but that is to be expected with an old building. Everything was as I expected, very neat and clean and big enough for us for one night.

It is ideally situated for a great visit to a charming town. Large rooms and a very nice bathroom. Although parking is a short walk away there is ample parking.

A bit small rooms, but it's an old building and you can't get anything more. However, it is enough for two people, which has its own charm.

Friendly family run restaurant with a few letting rooms on the second floor. The room was clean and comfortable with the shared bathroom next door. The restaurant downstairs serves good food at a reasonable price with good quality local beer on tap. Quiet but only 2mins from the cathedral

Room is up two flights of steep stairs that would be a problem for anyone with limited mobility.

The room furniture was outdated, would definitely benefit from upgrade. Room was facing road and with old windows it was really noisy inside. Woke us up quite early.

Superb location right in the middle of Ribe, very comfortable room, and very helpful staff.

Parking was in a public space behind the hotel - need a Denmark parking timer to use it properly (although this was not a problem).

Outstanding evening meals in the restaurant on the ground floor.

Disappointing breakfasts, adequate but did not live up to the promise of the evening meals. No shed or especially safe place to lock our bikes. This is not a criticism since it was made very ckear when we booked that we would be sharing a bathroom and toilet; but as far as I could work out there was one bathroom with a WC in it for six rooms. I think mornings might be a bit difficult if all six rooms were occupied. You be the judge.
