The location was great (not in the crowded centre of Las Terrenas), beautiful beach, nice beach beds and the staff was friendly & helpful. Also the food in the restaurant was very nice and loved the 3 breakfast options! Also the chocolate mouse was to die for. We had the family room with our 2 kids with one separate bedroom and I think it was recently renovated, looked nice.

I think we might have rented the only room without any "outside", no terrace or balcony, we missed that but on the other hand spent most of our times outside so for 4 days not a deal breaker. We did have difficulties finding the exact location, we first ended up on Playa Coson itself, then we ended up more towards the centre somehow. Best to ask directions to restaurant Luis, it is 10 meters before that restaurant and we managed to find it like this.

When we arrived we got a room in the garden of the back of the hotel but we got an upgrade to the colonial suite and this was absolutely amazing with sea view! The first two nights were a little noisy because of barking dogs so during the second night we send the dogs away and the rest of the stay is was quiet. Breakfast was good. The guys from the reception and the guy from the restaurant where very helpful and friendly. The girls from breakfast where not friendly, it had to go on their way, not flexibel at all. It was just for breakfast so we dealed with that ;-)

The water front location was private and secluded perfect for relaxation and disconnect. The beach was 10 out of 10! The staff was all friendly and accommodating, Joel and Zach made our stay so much more smooth and easy. Whether it was helping scheduling the excursions, getting us a taxi to go explore Las Terrenas or getting us to the right restaurant and essentials we needed. Breakfast was delicious and The restaurant on premises offered delicious food for any other time of the day, including a full bar that made us delicious cocktails anytime of the day. Finally the massages we took on the beach front were relaxing and completed what I call a perfect vacation! Highly recommended!

The mosquitoes and sand fly bites were a bit of an inconvenience, but that's really the only thing that made us a bit uncomfortable. So bring a good repellant, and that would probably take care of that. (We forgot to bring it).

My stay at Hotel Casa Coson was simply amazing. This place had a very comforting, home away from home vibe! If you're looking for a quiet beautiful location, this is your place; no need to look any further! A shout out to ALL OF THE STAFF IN THE KITCHEN AND HOUSEKEEPING for the hospitality, delicious food, and cleanliness throughout our stay! A special shoutout to Fénix and Diandra for the great conversations and mixing up the best drinks in town; these bartenders can make anything tasty! Edwin for dealing with my decisiveness on the wonderful selections of foods and his attentiveness. Xiomy, the Masseuse, has hands of gold and would book multiple massages! Lastly, thank you to the owner, David, for the fabulous stay and accommodating us throughout our stay. You made us feel right at home, and we will most definitely be back within the year! Nothing bad to say about this place—truly heaven on earth! Enjoy your stay!

There was nothing that I did not like about my stay! This place is wonderful!

A very beautiful, well-maintained property with an absolutely gorgeous adjoining beach. Wonderfully idyllic, lots of unspoiled nature, and you almost have the beach to yourself. Our room was upstairs in the main building — nicely furnished, comfortable, and clean. The ground floor rooms are not recommended, as they are quite dark. The accommodation’s restaurant is pricey but very good and delicious. Across the street, there’s another restaurant that is much more affordable and just as tasty. All in all very much recommended !

Breakfast was good, but it was the same every day. Since we stayed for five days, it got a bit boring. The staff wasn’t always super friendly, especially if you don’t speak Spanish.

Casa Cosson located in the Samana area, in a quiet area by the beach. It consists with few houses converted into rooms or bungalows. We stayed in a periodic Colonial Apartment which except for the massive space (3 bedrooms) had ground and 1st floor terraces with a lovely view facing the beach. The place is dated, it requires maintenance and better cleaning regime but regardless it is worth visiting. It is positioned just by a quiet beach, very long coastline, you can use hotel’s beach beds or enjoy the nature and piece and quiet on the beach. There is quite a lot of facilities, like a bar, restaurant and swimming pool. Also, our booking came with a breakfast which was always served fresh and to your preferences. Best pineapples (!) and freshly squeezed juices. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially lovely Edwin from the restaurant, and Joel from the reception, you could feel really looked after. There is something unique in this place that you think you want to come back one day.

David managed to created a little piece of heaven on earth. While staying at Casa Coson, you do feel wrapped in a bubble of cosy and careful attention. I was looking for a location to get away from it all while being close enough to a town if needed (Las Terranas, 15min away by car, the hotel provides transfers to it for 20 dollars). My room was more than enough for me, clean and the AC worked well. The property is rather small but honestly has everythinf you could ever want: a bar serving delicious mocktails, a delightful restaurant open all day with tasty snacks and meals and of course the beach at your toe tips. When I visited the waves were quite strong so I didn't feel confident enough to dive in bit this year is apparently an anomaly. Finally, a note on the whole staff that was stellar: smiling, attentive and engaging! I look forward to going back to Casa Coson.

Nothing

It is a fabulous location right at a wonderful beach. Breakfast is good and plentiful with lots of tropical fruit, but also has a continental breakfast version with bacon and eggs available. The staff speaks mostly Spanish which lead to some funny 'hand and foot conversations', everybody is very friendly and welcoming. We had 4 great meals at the restaurant right there on the premises and loved talking with the very talented :) bartender as well as the owner of the place, learning about their lives and experiences in DR. Incredibly relaxed ambience.

Really nothing. We had stayed at the same place (and room) 2 years ago and noticed renovations had been make that made the place even more appealing. Our bathroom was brand new, very attractive and everything (shower, toilet, sink) worked really well.

loved to be far away of the noise of Las Terrenas, with all needed around, the hotel, the pool, the bar, the restaurant, and of course the splendid beach with no tourist except the nice clients of the hotel. Their dogs are so nice, Bobby and Bobo and good friends for the early morning walk along the beach at sunrise. Zacharia and all the team are really nice and helpful, and was a splendid stay, like been in our villa on the beach... we felt at home.

I came to spend a few days in absolute tranquility to recharge. Hotel Casa Cosón is the perfect place for this. Also, as a woman travelling alone I felt super safe and at peace. The staff was always around but leave you your peace and quiet. The room was very comfortable and super clean. I stayed at the hotel all 3 days and ate at the restaurant every day. The food was exquisite! At Casa Cosón you get the perfect vacation: perfect ocean, super friendly staff (Joel and Zack at check-in worked magic) a lovely tropical garden, delicious cocktails. Make sure to book a room with ocean view. It's paradise!
