The hotel is directly across from the complex of the Pyramids of Giza. They have a rooftop balcony from which you can see the pyramids in their entirety and watch the Light & Sound show for free. There are many shops in the area, but be careful when deciding where to shop. The guesthouse's kind owner gave me all the local information I needed. You've got enough food for breakfast to get you through the day. If you want to be in front of the Pyramids, I highly recommend this hotel.

The private pyramid tour I scheduled through the hotel is wonderful, too, with the exception of the guide's deception that we would be seeing a papyrus museum, a cartouche maker, and a real lotus/papyrus scent. In the end, these "STORES" (not museums) convinced me to buy items from them for an absurdly high price. *more details on my social media page

Stayed at Guardian Guesthouse for four nights at the start of our trip to Egypt. The hotel is very well placed for exploring Giza plateau and the view from the rooftop of the pyramids can’t be beaten. We were able to watch the sound and light show from the rooftop in the evenings. The rooms are clean and the staff friendly, a basic breakfast was also included. Free water refills were also provided, which was good for reducing plastic! The hotel is also in a good location for the new Grand Egyptian Museum, which is easy to reach via Uber, but the other sights in Cairo are around a 30-40 minute taxi away. Overall the hotel is good value considering the views and proximity to pyramids.

The rooms are dated and in need of an update but it looked like they were doing work to a couple of the rooms so this may be changing.

Perfect views! Almost every window is a beautiful view on the Sphinx and Pyramids. Even when you do not have the best room, you can still see the Sphinx and Great Pyramid from my room window. For me this view is the number one reason to visit and return. The rooftop is open 24/7 and yes I enjoyed the view from this location too. The staff was always helping me with planning my day trips, if you stay longer the airport transfer is for free. The street is full of shops and restaurants, but you can get water and tea unlimited for free in this place. Rooms are clean and have good showers. Breakfast is included and you can enjoy the Sphinx and the pyramid too or just have a chat. The Pyramids ticket office is just at the other side of the road, so easiest location to avoid the queue. Furthermore it is also a great place to avoid heavy traffic and start a day trip to Dasjour, Memphis and Saqqara for example. And don't forget the brand new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).

No complains. If you want a place with a more party vibe you should just pay a visit to the neighbour. This place is perfect if you just want to enjoy the moment with best Price / Quality ratio. Cairo and Giza are big cities that never sleep, so bring your earplugs. The time I visited the streets where broken up to replace and upgrade the wires for better electricity and internet connection. This is actually a good thing; probably you are visiting this place with upgraded internet connection. Inshallah!

Guardian House was a great place to stay on our trip to Giza. The view is where this place excels! Right in front of the sphinx! There was nothing better than waking up every morning to the pyramids. And we ended up enjoying the most amazing and rare sunset when the sky exploded in pink, and I got to take pictures straight from our room! You can even eat on the roof top overlooking the pyramids for breakfast every morning, although it was a little nippy during our stay so we ate inside. The facility is more like an Airbnb than a hotel. More authentic in feel. The area is safe, although it may not seem as much at times, especially when the vendors start bugging you the second you hit the street. But the hotel is so safe, and even has a locked gate at night. The only down size was the noise. They were building a stage across the street for an upcoming show, and they literally built all night long. And the noise from the street is loud also. I read this in previous reviews, so I brought ear plugs and was just fine. Contrary to other reviews the entrance to the pyramids is not across the street, but the light show entrance is, but it was not running while there so we didn't get that benefit. However the biggest highlight to our stay was the staff. They were the best. They were willing to help in several situations that we found ourselves in, and were kind and caring each time. Between the staff and the view, I would come back again!

Noise on the street can be loud. Bring earplugs if your a light sleeper.

It was all good. Not fancy, but such wonderful staff, great fun breakfast with lots of variety including Egyptian and western options, huge room, comfy beds, shower, even tub. Now - the elephant in the room - the Giza Pyramids are right outside your window and from the rooftop! The Sphinx is staring at you all day! Incredible location, with restaurants, ATMs around, sound and light show from your room/roof. Egypt is full of treasures, but if you have a few days in Cairo/Giza, aren't the biggest pyramids the things you want to see each day and night?

Location - Right across the Sphinx. Just cross the road and you enter the Pyramids compound. Room views are incredible, direct view of the Sphinx & Pyramids. Police check post right below the hotel, so it’s a secure area.

I wanted to cancel one night as I got stuck in another city due to loss of some belongings. I informed them requesting to cancel and they never picked calls or responded, and eventually even switched off the cell. The breakfast is not worth. Old building but quite clean. WIFI not functional.

The location of GGH was "front row center" to the Sphinx and three pyramids. The view from the room and rooftop dining areas we quite literally unbelievable! It could not have been easier to access the ticket booth for the Pyramids which was right across the street which made an early start before the crowds arrived very easy

It could get a bit noisy with all the people lining up to get inside the Pyramid complex, but the Guest house had doubled glazed windows to buffer the noise. The tradeoff for the views and proximity made it no problem. Uber rides to anywhere in Cairo were also very easy to arrange as everyone knew exactly where you were located

I liked how it overlooks the Pyramids of Giza and The Sphinx right in front of the property. I think all of their rooms faces the Pyramids because I stayed here twice and both had an incredible view. The stay includes breakfast from 7-9 AM. Check in at 13:00 and check out is 10:00. They provide laundry service: £20/piece and if given in the morning, you’ll get it back in the afternoon/evening. The rooms and private bathrooms are super comfortable, spacious, and clean. They provide the necessary toiletries like shampoo, body wash and soap. The staff are extremely nice and professional. The owner who lives in the premises is sweet, nice and respectful. She reminded me of my grandmother.

Nothing to complain about the property, but be prepared to be haggled if you stay specifically anywhere in Giza.

Guardian Guest house was our first accommodation in Egypt and we weren't sure what to expect. It turned out to be an excellent guest house. We got the dreaded room with the pillar but that did not detract from the view - the pyramids and the Spinx are right outside. The views are even better from the rooftop terrace. We watched the sound and light show from our room as we were too tired to go to the rooftop. The room itself was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. It was pretty quiet at night. WiFi worked well. Free water, tea and coffee are provided for guests at all times. We had to leave early and got breakfast boxes that contained a croissant, jams, cheese and some biscuits. We stored our bags for the day while exploring the pyramids and they were left in the stairwell but this was not a problem as the guesthouse itself is secure.

The bathroom was a little on the small side.

Everything about this property was fantastic, the brothers who run it are some of the nicest people I have met in Egypt, the view is probably the best view any hotel can have of the pyramids. The view is phenomenal. Honestly it can’t get better. The rooms face the pyramids and the sphinx. If you look at other hotels along the strip they face perpendicular to them and maybe on the balcony you’d be able to see them, but not from the room. If you want to wake up every morning to the pyramids and say goodnight to them book this hotel! The free breakfast is great, it’s not the best I’ve ever had, it could do with some more fruit, but it’s sufficient and the free water to fill up water bottles is a nice additional touch.

The only thing is maybe the area around it, it’s Egypt and it’s the pyramids so you can’t leave the hotel and go for a walk without people hassle long you. You probably don’t even want to go for a walk, as a man walking the area at night, I really didn’t feel that safe. The constant police presence helps though.
