The hotel is excellently situated in the centre of town but still only a short 10 minute walk from the Ferry Port. The rooms were clean if a little dated and I had a nice view of the medieval walls of the Fuerte de San Miguel which is behind the hotel. Reception is 24 hours and access to room is via keycard. The Reception staff were very polite and helpful and allowed me to leave my luggage on my day of departure. The room had everything I needed, including excellent A/C, TV and a mini-fridge with complimentary water provided. The room was also a decent size for a solo traveller. I didn't have breakfast there so can't advise what it was like or even if there was one. All in all, a very decent budget hotel.

Nothing really. The decor could probably do with a bit of a spruce up and there was a couple of minor spots in the room that the cleaners seemed to miss but I'm nit-picking really.

Excellent location - close to all important sightseeing points in the city and the port. From the balcony of our room (121) there was a fine view over the fortress (Melilla la Vieja) WiFi was OK.

Although the hotel has obviously had a major facelift to bring it to the standards of the 21st century, there is a lot of space for improvements: 1. Mattresses should be changed - due to the prolonged use their central part has become permanently lower than the edges 2. There is only one chair in the room - pls add a couple of chairs and a coffee table (even of cheap, plastic type) on the balcony, as the view is fine 3. The inside of the fridge is rusty (but it works) 4. The outdoor A/C unit is rusty at the edges (we haven't tried it as the weather hasn't been too hot). Be aware that various noisy events (like concerts, etc) that last till late may take place at the nearby Plaza de las culturas.

A very nice and lovely hotel in the center of Melilla, in a beautiful street. Easy to find it and a short way to the main square, park, restaurants and shops. The staff is very friendly. We were given a wonderful room with a balcony and the view to the old castle. The room had everything necessary, including even toothbrush and shaving set :) Breakfast costs 6 euros but it is very big and tasty, and the hotel restaurant itself is beautiful. There you can also have lunch and dinner.

If neighbors are a bit loud, you hear them easily

The hotel has the best location in the city center, very close to the port and to the old city. The room has all the facilities (wifi, hairdryer, air condition, fridge and even a balcony). The staff is very kind and available. I could leave the luggage at the hotel after the check out and when I came back I could even recharge my mobile. There is the opportunity to have breakfast on the last floor where there is a terrace that offers a nice view on the city. All around there are shops, bars and restaurants.

The price for a solo traveller is a little bit expensive even if cheaper than the other accomodation in the city. The last day the electronic key didn't work, fortunately the cleaner helped me twice (to avoid to go again to the reception and manage it). Not all the staff speaks English. I needed to print a document but the pc in the hall didn't work.

Functional with friendly staff, no complaints. Location is fabulous. If you want luxury this isn't the place, but if you want a solid place to rest your head, this is perfectly adequate.

A little loud in the room when other guests talk in the corridor late at night, but nothing major.

The location was excellent to walk to the Citadel, the Marina, Plaza de Espana and to the urban modernist centre. There was a restaurant upstairs but eating out in the city would be much better. The WiFi worked well.

I cannot use a shower in a deep bathtub - would have preferred a walk in shower.

This was my fifth visit to Melilla and I always stay at Hotel Anfora That says it all ! It has the best view of the Old Town! The staff are all very friendly and welcoming 😊

Restaurant was great value and excellent food, friendly restaurant manager and staff. Reception and housekeeping staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was great with a lovely view. Would recommend and visit again.

Excellent location close to the port and the old town. Everything you needed was really close. It was very clean and great value for money.

Nothing really. Like others have said it would have been good to have some chairs on the balcony.
