The staff were amazing, we booked this hotel after we were cancelled at the very last minute (the night before) from a booking we held for a year, after there was apparently a flood. Because I was travelling with my three grandchildren under the age of 7, this is their only holiday I could not let them down and as it was the first week of the summer holidays, there was nowhere available within the price range, without paying extortionate amounts at this last minute. We were exceptionally unhappy and miles away from the rest of our family and the location is extremely difficult to leave without a hire car or very expensive taxi's, we were utterly miserable and the staff definitely would have experienced this. They were amazing and did everything they could to assist us at all times. The reception staff are by far what makes this hotel.

The location. The hotel is situated in an industrial street, some walk to the beach, not that close. Once at the beach, the location is much improved. Lovely beach. Public Transport - you definitely need a car. The hotel is in a peninsular and very difficult to get around without a car. The local car hire shop closes from Saturday lunchtime until Monday morning and is expensive. The pool is small and a little tired. The pool area is small. I booked a family room for my oldest son and his children, this did not have enough beds until they were moved on day 3 to the correct amount of beds I had booked. The rooms are small and with little space. The balcony did not have space to sit outside, nor stand.

When we checked in, we were told there would be no hot water the next morning and would we like a suite in their other building across the street. Why yes we would. It was nice space with a large outdoor balcony, a living room, kitchen and separate bedroom.

The bed was not comfortable or the pillows either, both very hard. The couch in living space is also a sleeper bed and when sitting on it, it was not that comfortable.

The staff are amazing. Really looked after me all through my stay & especially when I fell ill. I will be eternally grateful. You treated me like family & made me feel safe in a scary situation. That would have been unbearable without your help. thank you so very much to Veronica Rafael Marta & Guan for everything you done for me.

Friendly, helpful staff throughout the hotel. The property was very clean. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with a comfortable bed and large ensuite, all kept spotlessly clean. The hotel has a rooftop sun terrace and pool plus a bar that is open in the high season. The food was of a high standard. My personal favourite was the buffet breakfast. La Traina is about 35 minutes from Murcia airport by car/taxi. It is situated about 12 minutes walk from the beach in one direction and about the same to the town centre square in the other. There are bus stops close by with services to Murcia and Cartagena.

My only comment would be that sometimes Dinner was served in the restaurant area in the downstairs sports bar which has tvs on every wall. If you like sport its great, if you don't - it is a bit distracting. But it's not a big problem.

From the moment we arrived at reception the staff were lovely and would do anything to help, this includes staff in the cafe and restaurant. Didn’t have any contact with the cleaners but they did a great job as the place was spotless.

A wee bit rough around the edges in some places but nothing that impacted my stay and I would definitely book again

The staff were very helpful & friendly. The restaurant was great & buffet breakfast had plenty of choice.

The waiters in the restaurant were a little bit grumpy when we turned up without a reservation which was what reception staff had advised us to do. They also didn’t tell us that we could request cooked food to order so we missed out on the chance of a nice piece of freshly cooked salmon.

The room was clean and spacious. The little terrace/ balcony was a pleasant surprise. The bathroom was clean, the shower was good and there were plenty of towels. The hotel was well located and I appreciated the use of the private car park

The breakfast could have been better. The offering on Sunday was decent but on Monday several items were missing. The pastries were hard eg croissant. I had breakfast elsewhere after that which was much better quality for less.

The whole hotel was wonderfully clean and well kept. All of the staff were extremely helpful, polite and pleasant to deal with. We were travelling around to look for a place to buy a home and this was the perfect base for our short stay.

Nothing was bad. Had a bit of difficulty getting out of the car park but think that was probably down to us more than the instructions!

It is a lovely well located hotel, fantastic value for a 4 star... and make no mistake it is 4 star. But the real selling point are the staff, in every area they excel and go over and beyond what could be expected.

Very little, the music at the pool was terrible and the computer in the foyer doesn't work, but again we were given a staff members own laptop... seriously where would you get it.

From the moment I arrived the staff were amazing. check in was easy, room clean and spacious and thumbs up to the cleaner who were great. everybody who works in this hotel deserve huge credit. they are helpful, friendly, happy to chat and provide first class service. can’t recommend them more. range of food whether in cafe or restaurant and bar stock is excellent also. The location is great to being just a few minutes walk to lovely beaches, bars and restaurants.
