The staff were phenomenal. In particular, we learned so much about the history of the palace from Cristina. She was very enthusiastic and a joy to encounter. We had no idea it had been an orphanage school or that the little building outside had possibly housed prisoners. She also pointed out original features of the palace in the chapel, the salon and around the staircase. It made our visit all the more meaningful. In addition the breakfast for an additional 10 e was excellent and the woman who served it was warm and welcoming. Great staff!

I was disappointed that not more of the original feel of the palace was evident before it was pointed out. The location (while on a hill with great views to the river below) was not phenomenal. It was a 3 km walk into town to find restaurant choices.

If the people are good everything is good.. And trust me, the people are very good! Receptionists both times excellent House keeping ladies very good and kind Camarera in the restaurant excellent! Lady who runs the breakfast outstanding!! Everyone is smiling and happy and happy to help. This hotel has is nailed....if your employees are so happy and service minded something really good is going on!!

If you put a gun to my head...ok: seperate shower in stead of shower in the bath would be an improvement.. But really.....who cares if everyone is so nice and good at there jobs

This is a fantastic historical hotel, fabulous high look-out location for great views on the surrounding scenery. We changed rooms (made a mistake booking 1 bed for 2 people) and were helped perfectly by the very kind Christina Garcia. Big thumbs up to her and the service she gave us! Highly recommend a stay here (and it's only a 7 minute drive from the airport, yet not airplane noise!)

We take out breakfast at the nearby cafetaria...we like hanging out with the locals and it's very good!

A very grandiose property in a beautiful location with charming and helpful staff. Pools, saunas, relaxation room and hot tub in the spa all very good and clean.

There were a few snags regarding the bedroom - shaving/makeup mirror not secured to the wall, door handle on inside of bathroom missing a screw and therefore loose. Throughout the property various light bulbs needed replacing.

Staff incredibly nice and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms are splendid, clean and very comfortable. Magnificent building (I gather XVIII century) with wide spaces, constructed around a central courtyard (covered to avoid the rain), large aisles and full of natural light. Remember to book your table for lunch and dinner: exceptional cooking. The 1h30m spa is great. Gorgeous view. I was there for health reasons -I needed some rest. The place and the people were way above my expectations. I am truly speechless. Do not miss it! Jus by the airport, to round it up.

I really cannot say, honestly. Of course, there are things that can be improved but I would not feel honest writing anything bad about the place, the staff, the cleaning or the cooking, as it was excellent. As a limitation of the building itself, the restaurant feels small. But you are told in advance to book your table, so this is not a real issue.

Lovely large comfortable room with lots of room for our clothes etc. Large bathroom with good shower and lots of surface area. The staff were very pleasant and efficient, especially the young lady working in the cafeteria & restaurant, she was excellent! The food was very good. Easy secure onsite parking.

The staff were pleasant, the hotel was beautiful, the spa was relaxing, and the food was phenomenal!

Not a huge knock, but the immediate area around the hotel was a touch low on things to do. We loved our time in the hotel and surrounding area, but a longer stay would likely have gotten a little boring at some point.

The location proximity to Camino del Norte was great. The room was spacious and comfortable. It's location allowed me to leave the window open throughout the night welcoming the coolness and also natural countryside smells. Staff in both bar and restaurant we great. Enjoyed cocktails and a fantastic meal.

This is a really special place to stay. The room, the restaurant, the grounds .. all great. I look forward to staying here again.

I had a room with a soaker tub. They are a bit hard to get in and out. And , it’s a bit messy to take a shower. My next stay I will request a room with a shower.

The Hotel staff is very kind and welcoming. The Hotel architecture is magnificent and positioned at a great location.

Perhaps the hotel restaurant hours. Breakfast was available only from 7.30 am, which might be a bit late, for some people used to get up early in the morning. However upon request, the hotel personnel arranged a rich pick-nick breakfast at early hours in the morning.
