Great location in the heart of the town. Amazing breakfast. Underground parking was convenient. Helpful staff.

Slighly outdated furniture in the room, so-and-so mattress and squeaky bed. Not enough electrical outlets for this day and age. Spa looked a bit run down too, you could tell it used to be stunning back in the day, but needs some touchups. You need to pay extra for the spa which is quite small and also limited in duration - we paid 30 euros pp for an exact hour, which the spa host made very clear not to exceed! ("you have a wall clock there, to monitor your time in the spa"). Underground parking also costs extra 12 euros/day, which the reception staff tried to charge us twice for (added it to the room rate and asked for it separately too).

Staff on check in were very helpful, speaking English as well as Spanish, of course. The food was better than we expected, and the lady in the restaurant was clearly overworked, but she maintained a cheerful attitude which we appreciated very much. The room was huge - much bigger than we expected for the price we paid. And clean, which was important. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very little we didn't like, but just maybe - and I am being really, really fussy here - maybe the TV was a bit on the small side. That makes me sound spoilt, doesn't it? But really can't think of anything else that we would change.

This hotel has excellent reception staff. My husband and I received the warmest welcome on arrival from them I think I have ever had on arrival at a hotel! - thank you to the staff! Everything was very clean and neat. The underground parking was perfect, highly secure and each space was ample for an SUV. The price per night of the parking was very reasonable. The time at the spa was relaxing and pleasant. The temperature of the jacuzzi was fabulous. The bedroom was very spacious and the bed size was huge and comfy. Breakfast was lovely, a very nice wide selection of products. A wonderful hotel!

The spa itself is a mini-spa, it is very small but cute. The buttons controlling the jets supply a very short amount of water-jet time on the underwater beds but are fine in other areas of the spa. In our bathroom the shower had a strange set up of one shower wall being head to knee clear glass giving visual access straight through from the shower via the bedroom door to the public corridor. In other words, if one guest is taking a shower and the other guest has to open the room door (to receive extra towels, to get a blanket, to accept room service etc.) then the nude person in the shower will be totally visible to the stranger or employee walking around OUTSIDE the bathroom! It did not happen to us, but it totally COULD! :-0

Well located overnight accomodation easy to find en route from Bilbao to the Costa del sol. The room was comfortable and clean and for an additional 12 euros we were provided with secure underground parking. We did not use the spa facilities. All staff were friendly and the breakfast choice was excellent.

The hotel was near to several restaurants but as we were tired and hungry at 6.30 pm we decided to eat in the hotel bar/ cafeteria as many local restaurants did not open until 8.30. The lady behind the bar was very friendly but the menu was fairly basic.

The property is in the right place when driving from the north coast ferry terminals to the south coast resorts, easily reachable in a day. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the breakfast is very good.

It would be nice if there were tea/coffee making facilities in the room and if the underground car park was a bit cheaper.

the spaciousness of the rooms- the friendly above average staff. They changed our rooms on arrival for rooms with walk in showers as we have a mobility issue. Fantastic location. Breakfast was excellent and parking perfect.

Well located to explore town. Surprised to find this quality hotel. Good car parking with elevator to rooms. Large room on first floor was superb. Cafe/bar served a variety of dishes in the evening. Breakfast was good. Overall this hotel is well recommended.

No smart TV access. No TV or low level music in breakfast room, it was uncomfortably quiet.

Great location, nice spacious modern room with good amenities. Staff were efficient and courteous. Underground parking was easy to find and relative easy for SUVs ( unlike many car parks in old towns ).

No pet policy. We would love to return to Valdepenas as we really liked the town and stay there again. We have a little dog who has travelled everywhere and this hotel has a no pet policy.😞

Great location, clean large room, comfy bed/pillows and amazing shower! Staff was friendly.

The property indicated they had air conditioned rooms; however, apparently in mid October, they are turned off (not mentioned on their website). It was very warm in the room overnight so we had to open the window to sleep.

We arrived by car & it was easy to unload, check-in & access the hotel car park. The receptionist was helpful and suggested places to have dinner, not available at the hotel.The room was enormous with comfy chairs & a huge bed. The shower was good although the bathroom set-up is a little strange being “open plan”! Breakfast was excellent, buffet style with plenty of choice.

The room was a bit shabby & could have been cleaner - lots of ring marks on surfaces & toilet floor showing pee stains
