The room was clean and comfortable. Floors were laminate, which is always better than carpeting. Everything in the room functioned properly (plumbing, fridge, microwave, TV, lights, door locks). Breakfast was limited but adequate with do-it-yourself waffles and some other items. The price was extremely reasonable. I have been here a few times and will continue to stay here. The location is good - close to I-95 and about 1/3 of the way between SE Florida and the NY Metro Area, making Walterboro a good place to stop when on a 2 night/3 day drive between those locations.

Problems were insignificant, such as wear and tear on the surface of the tub. It still worked just fine, as did everything else.

While this is an inexpensive motel, my room was wonderful - roomy, comfortable, clean, everything in good working order. Elevator available for 2nd & 3rd floors. Lighting was good. Room had fridge with separate freezer and microwave. King room also had sleeper sofa. Furnishings were in very good condition. Floors were laminate - no dirty carpeting. Plenty of cable channels. Motel is not far from I-95 and has plenty of food options.

Breakfast consists of choice of 2 granola bars and coffee - that's it - but considering how inexpensive the room was, I cannot complain about that. Dunkin Donuts next door and WaWa right across the street sufficed just fine. There were restaurants as well including Waffle House, Hardees, and others. Also, a Target across the street sells food. Motel is on a main, busy commercial street. Though room was quiet, security is of some concern.

Clean room, comfortable furniture. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was better than recent reviews indicated (donuts, pastries, waffles, cereals, etc.) Nice room for a good rate.

Very small and thin towels. Older TV with a poor picture. Owners/staff spoke in front of us in a foreign language for a prolonged time. They apparently were having trouble finding our reservation on the computer, but never said anything to us during the 3 or 4 minute process..."just do you have a reservation," when we walked in and "sign here" when they finally found it and printed it out.

The room (116) is nice and big, 3 of us shared it, the beds were comfortable, nice soft sheets, beds made nicely, the towels were fresh, bathtub/sink/toilet nice and clean. This tub and its fixtures were in better repair than the room we had 2 weeks ago, too. Working fridge/freezer, microwave worked well, too. A better thing was that this time the waffle iron DID work, which was lovely, fresh hot waffles with butter and syrup. Cereal and milk, little muffins, pastries, orange juice, (I think there were packets of oatmeal?) very good coffee (available all the time, so far as I know!) Sweet staff, beautiful flowers everywhere, GREAT VALUE!! Close to I-95, convenient.

The ONLY thing not great was this musty smell when we first walked in, which didn't happen with the first room we'd had (2 weeks ago.)

My husband and I spent one night at Econo Lodge Walterboro on a drive north from Florida. This hotel is an excellent value for the money. Unlike many hotels in this price range, this hotel is being maintained. Two good size beds with clean bedding. Microwave and a small refrigerator. Quiet. No carpet, which is always good : ) Pleasant man at check in. Clean lobby. Simple breakfast with a waffle maker; more than adequate for us. I think the word is out that this is a good value hotel, as it seemed full.

Only negative was that the mattress on the bed I slept in was too soft for me. But, unlike many, I prefer a very firm mattress.

My go to stop the past 4 years driving from DC to Melbourne Beach, FL. Always clean, nothing fancy, well maintained and gets the job done for a quick rest. Leaves about 6 hours to the destination next day. Be sure and book ahead because they sell out almost every night by midnite. I have stayed at the Microtel in Walterboro exit and it is a step down in grounds maintenance. The owner loves plants and there are always fresh potted plants everywhere.

The room was clean and tidy. The beds were comfy. The staff had made an effort to have beautiful flowers all around the property creating an inviting atmosphere. I plan on making this place a regular stop on my travels

Only one thing was a bit of a downer. My room was on the ground floor. The guests above me evidently were trying to get all their steps in for the day. I could hear each footfall. Still this one short-coming would not deter me from staying again.

The location was great: right off of I-95 and within half a mile of two great restaurants and several gas stations. The cleanliness: this place was spotless. They had vinyl floors instead of carpet. ALL linens were washed between guests not just the sheets. The chair in the room had a washable cover on it. They had pump hand soap on the sink instead of bar soap. The tv remote had been cleaned and was wrapped in a plastic bag to keep it clean. The building: It looked old but well maintained on the outside. Inside the room looked modern with up-to-date tv, microwave, and refrigerator. Floors and paint job both looked new. The service: I had very little interaction with staff but had good results with our interactions. There was coffee available 24/7.

The toilet rocked. The tub faucet didn’t turn off completely while the shower was running, so the water backed up in the tub. As soon as the water was off, the water drained from the tub super quickly.

Location was very convenient. Room was renovated, nicely done and very clean. Great TV and a wide cable selection. Motel was very inviting with hanging baskets of flowers outside. Price of the room was extremely affordable. Staff was very pleasant.

Breakfast was generic and limited but would rather have an excellent, clean, safe, affordable room than a big breakfast buffet.

Clean and simple room for the night a few blocks off of I 95. Bed was fine and plenty of hot water. I really appreciated the outside planters and small touches added by the owners.

At check in I was specifically told that the advertised continental breakfast would be available from 6 AM to 9. Yet the next morning, there was no breakfast and no employees around at all. That was very strange. I didn’t expect much but I did expect something.
