I liked the size of the property because it’s not huge where you have to walk great distances to get to the restaurants and entertainment. The buffet had plenty of options and we enjoyed the food. The service was amazing at the restaurant Nemias and his brother are the best. The best margaritas are in the bar located in the lobby. The food truck has really good food. The afternoon views by the ocean are amazing.

The reservation for the restaurants at the lobby are limited. The girl there wasn’t very nice. Needs some training. In general I would recommend to train staff to say “no” keeping the customer happy by giving other choices because they do have them.

Staff in general was amazing, especially the receptionists were very kind and helpful. The hotel was fine and it’s visible that they are improving it. In general there was a nice atmosphere and we enjoyed it. Food was good and it’s nice to have different restaurants to try.

There should be more activities and more music. The majority of the staff doesn’t speak English, sometimes was hard to communicate. We didn’t like the fact that there were cats walking around at the buffet and the other guests were touching or feeding them and after that touching the things at the buffet

The new gym and the swimming pool facilities are great

The rooms need some refurbishing. My basin didn’t have a water block, thus enabling cockroaches or even mice to come through inside the room.

The pools are wonderful, the bus that takes you to the beach is always on time, and the beach is amazing (1 umbrella and 2 beds costs 20 dollars or 1000 pesos). The quality/price ratio is excellent. The food is also very good — there are always fresh fruits and vegetables, quality cold cuts and cheeses, and something freshly cooked at every meal at the cooking station. Our room was spacious and clean. We really can't understand how some people give a rating of 1. Obviously, there are things that could be improved, but let's be honest — for this price, everything is perfect!

As I mentioned, there are obviously a few aspects that could be improved, but it's just a recommendation — we had an excellent time. the quality of the desserts the quality of the drinks mosquito nets on the terrace doors + better sound insulation the shower water, which was sometimes extremely hot and made it difficult to take a shower

Jumping directly into the sea and snorkelling was exceptional. We loved the tremendous sea views and sunsets from our rooms and the pools. Having a variety of pools to choose from was appreciated. Super helpful staff on reception and friendly reception bar staff. We were very impressed by the room size, balcony and view of the junior suite - wonderful. We enjoyed the free bus shuttle to the beach - prompt and regular.

We would have liked to have dinner in one of the restaurants overlooking the sea but sadly one was fully booked and we did not wish to pay for a meal at the Japanese restaurant as we were all inclusive. There were wasps continually hovering around the pool bar. My husband had an stomach upset on the first morning and we had only consumed food and drink at the hotel - no other members of our party were unwell.

Don’t expect the food to taste like what you are familiar with. That being said try the local dishes- the stewed meats and legumes, fish and yucca. They’re SO well flavored and the best food they serve. ( and the fried food was incredible) It was a few days before I realized/ and was so happy when I did!

The beds are very very firm. But the pullout couch had a cozy mattress ( I put it on the bed and it worked perfectly). In my building the hot water only worked in the morning, otherwise the showers were fairly cool.

Had a great experience here. The buffet has good food. I wouldn't waste time with the international or the Italian restaurant(they come with the all inclusive but you reserve at least a day ahead) as the food and service at both was much worse than what you would get at the buffet. the event coordinators were awesome at getting people involved. The resort is very quiet by 9pm so if you're looking for a place that has stuff going all the time this is not it. The water is great, you can take cheap dive excursions right from the shore where you stand to see eagle rays. All in all would definitely visit again just need to know what you want in the resort.

The service and food n the restaurants was pretty sub par but was made up by the buffet.

That it had a lot of amenities. Staff was friendly.

There were some staff working out while being responsible for managing the gym, others were chatting while people were trying to order drinks near the pools. There were some inconsistencies as well, for instance, the bars by the pool charge for bottled waters when the bar in the lobby didn’t

We loved our stay at HM Alma de Bayhibe. All the stuff were friendly and helpful, amazing entertainment team which made our stay interesting as we participated in all kinds of activities organised at the resort. All the excursions were booked at the resort which is very convenient and secure and we enjoyed every single excursion, especially Saona island I would highly recommend this resort

The only thing I wish they could've included and it's very miniscule was a better wine selection being that I'm still young I prefer sweet wines and they had dry that older and elder people enjoy but aside from that everything was PERFECT! the staff were so helpful and very much on top of everything with what I needed. The HM resorts in general are amazing. The rooms very clean and I love that the cleaning services leave a cute design out of what they lay along the bed it's always a great treat to see.
