The location is suitable for me. It has everything that needs. The staff is professional and helpful. Breakfast is also very nice. More then nice. Also whole kitchen offer is on a vey high level. Kitchen, staff and location are the main strengths.

If you wont a lake view room you should specified it before since the half of the rooms are watching on the opposite side, Parking lot :). Depending on the preferences but the commercial and photos accentuate the view. The rooms are very basic, I am ok with as its in the line with the number of start of the place, but there is a room for improvement.

the location next to the lake is wonderful, you can see the lake from your room any day (ask for roooms with lake view) and also from the breakfast hall. The breakfast is very good and full of different things with attention to lactose free foods. I recommend this very strongly.

nothing bad in my opinion; I recommend to try to select a room with lake view, although you can see the lake also from other locations at the hotel: there is also a little dock on the rear with free access

Location and view, delightful staff, excellent on-site restaurant, lovely second evening listening to live singer/piano/flugelhorn over dinner and drinks.

Really nothing of note - I was slightly concerned the about the room size when booking as we had a lot of luggage but the thoughtful design meant that was no issue. It's better than on-line images suggest.

Hotel Alba is located on the shores of Lake Jyväsjärvi where it has a fenced in swimming area. Our room overlooked the lake and as the weather was excellent, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset sitting in the room's very own sauna. After all, it IS Finland. Very comfortable beds and very friendly staff.

This is my second stay here and it was again very comfortable and pleasant. The location has a wonderful lake view. The room comfortable and functional. The breakfast was very good, with home-made marmalade and cakes. Dinner at the restaurant was very nice. Friendly and kind staff. To repeat every time that I visit Jyvaskyla!

Clean, organised, super friendly and professional staff. Close to the university building where I needed to be.

A small thing - would have been nice to have a water boiler/coffee maker in the room. But it seems this is not typical in Finland.

The place upgrade my room as I required the lake view. Breakfast is of high quality. Same as dinner. Staff is extremely helpful and professional. They gave me a receipt by email as I forgot to ask. Reply right away, and is very helpful. Could not find a complaint. Didn't have time to search for weaknesses.

The cheapest room was small and basic, but clean and perfectly fine for one-night stay. Sauna was included in the price, I could swim in the lake using hotel's own pier and enjoy beautiful view over the Jyväsjärvi lake. The dinner in the hotel restaurant was exceptionally good.

Great location, good food and friendly staff. Also very convenient when visiting the university.

Very minor thing but couldn't find a way to turn down the room temperature. Apart from that, no complaints.

I stayed 8 nights for work and had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. The location was amazing, directly on the lake with a wonderful view. The room was very comfortable and functional, oriented to environmental respect (e.g., apart from the wall soap dispenser, there are no amenities in the bathroom). The breakfast was excellent, with home-made marmalade and cakes. Dinner at the restaurant was of good quality and presentation. Very friendly and kind staff, in particular let me thank Tommy. I will definitely repeat!
