We had a beautiful and comfortable room in the old building. The breakfast was served in the newer building and it was varied and nice. The location was practical, near just next to the city centre and the fortress, and beautiful by the Saimaa lake. We went to the spa in the morning and had it all to ourselves. The spa was small, but had what we wanted.

Some misunderstandings in communication, but that was resolved. Overall, a very nice place.

Hotel Lähde is a really relaxing place at an amazing situation next to Saimaa. Next time I take my room towards water. Now had a room to the street. Great noise insulation, so traffic didn't disturb at all. Personal was great with one exception.

Checking in was a little complicated while they were training a new person (and I was really in a hurry). In the morning I went to breakfast and showed my room number to an Asian lady. She told me that I should go to the other side. So I run back and forth between two houses. I understood later that lady meant my room being the other side, and that was totally a small thing. But still disturbing while everything else was perfect.

The location was excellent......right beside the lake and harbour, and within easy walking distance of the town centre, fortress and swimming area. The hotel is a beautiful old and very quaint building. The room was really nice and bright, but not very big. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was lovely and well equipped. The breakfast was excellent.

I would like to have been able to open a window in the bedroom as I don't like air conditioning bit this was not possible. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and I thought this was very bad considering the cost of the room.

Tasty breakfast also for vegetarian and gluten free diets. Rooms were nicely decorated and quiet. Looking forward for our next visit.

One bed was softer than the other. We noticed the difference in the morning. We should have switched beds in the evening for good night sleep…

Delightful boutique hotel, we stayed in the old building. Fabulously located in the harbour. Room full of charm, beds truly comfortable and large. Breakfast one of the nicest we have had with lot of of choice. Morning sauna a good start for the day. Staff friendly and helpful.

The hotel was exceptionally well placed. On the edge of the harbour but away from commercial activities.

On site parking expensive. The spa hotel is separated by a road from the main hotel where breakfast is taken. The room we had was comfortable but gave the feeling that modern facilities had been shoehorned into an old stylish hotel.

Cosy room, perfectly sound-proofed. The location is exceptional, in front of the lake and few minutes walking from the city centre, bars and restaurants. Good breakfast, and parking for guests if needed.

I love my room (lake view), the cosines of the room, I like the lake view and the location. The breakfast was also super nice many nice and good little items; I highly recommend it!

It wouldbe nice if BBC World and/or CNN rv channels were offered ao non-Finnish speaking pwople could keep a float with what's going on in the world.
