Comfortable well-appointed and stylish modern decor. Great hotel amenities (bar, restaurant, gym & pool). Well located with easy walking distance to the waterfront, as well as cafes & shops.

No major issues only a few minor items that we would want adjusted for our next stay. Pillows were too large & thick. Our room was on the first-floor west side & the view was onto a service area/brick wall (we had requested a top floor, which we think would have a better view & be quieter.

We had asked for a quiet room, but the first night was terrible with the loudest rattling noisy aircon ever, impossible to sleep and we're really deep sleepers, avoid room # 106. Next 6 nights we paid to upgrade to their best suite # 235 (it wasn't available for the full week we wanted) and it was superb, as was everything else about our stay, great dining and wine, friendly staff, all good, recommended.

Great location and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We booked last minute and great selection of rooms. It was not busy at all which was surprising. Great artwork throughout the hotel. Love that in the stairwell just above the lobby there is a memorial wall to war heroes. Bar is very nice and intimate and great selections. This is our second time and we have not eaten here yet. Maybe when we return.

There is nothing to not like

I grew up in Sarnia. As a young one this was the Drawbridge inn. So great to visit such a clean comfortable place. Wife n I just love it!!!

Pool closing time. Possibly allow adults only a couple hrs after normal closing time. Maybe also give a Fri/Sat deal. Also we’ve been there probably 5times in 6 months offer a deal for frequent guests.

Beautifully renovated with very nice fixtures and decor. Very helpful and kind staff.

Food from the restaurant was mediocre. Didn’t feel the neighborhood was great and there wasn’t a secure garage, so I ended up having to unpack everything from the car because I was concerned about a break in. Most importantly, there are stairs both at front and back to get into the hotel (no ramp), so it is not accessible and you can’t bring a luggage trolley to the car.

My husband and I are driving from CA to VT. This hotel is our new favorite. Clean, big rooms with Occitane shampoo / conditioner, super comfy beds, dog friendly, easy to walk to Centennial park, and lovely helpful staff. I give this hotel an 11 out of 10.

The only thing that could have been better would be to put in a ramp for the luggage cart out front and also in the back.

The staff is just wonderful, so thoughtful and always available to help. Parking is on site and close by. The beds are very comfortable. The room is quiet. The hotel is situated in downtown Sarnia and within walking distance of restaurants and the shoreline. We have stayed here before and just love it.

Everything was wonderful

The location of this hotel is excellent. Right downtown Sarnia close to many restaurants and of course the famous Imperial Theatre Sarnia. There is always a show playing.

The restaurant does not have an à la carte menu for breakfast. There is a buffet which was a standard one as in most hotels and it was $20.00 a person. The staff at the restaurant is also fabulous!

The location for this hotel is amazing because you are in the heart of the downtown area. We found the hotel staff courteous and helpful. It is absolutely spotless. This is our second time here and will return when in Sarnia. It is the best Sarnia has. We have tried all the other ones.

The hotel is beautiful, but not what you would expect for the price. This is an old building that was remodelled and the rooms are quite small. The beds are not super comfy. Also, the HVAC system is old, and it continuously blows on you all night and is loud. There is a fabulous restaurant downstairs, but no choice for breakfast. Only a small selection on a tiny buffet.

Immaculately clean inside and put. Quality rooms and most importantly, best beds in the industry. Considering other options in the area, I'm glad I stayed with The Insignia Hotel.
