Good location for what we wanted

There was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke on the ground floor which we had to walk through to first floor. No facilities to make a hot drink but there was a machine which you had to pay for drinks.

Everything was fine , we were on a 4 day tour of Brittany so stayed in a couple of Ibis hotels and found they were great for what we wanted

Location isolated for other services. difficulty with initial checkin

There are two hotels opposite each other (approx 20 metres apart) - IBIS and IBIS budget. I booked the IBIS budget (although I had not realised there was a choice to book the other one - and I have no idea what the differences are). Check in was easy, computerised with an English language option. There was a receptionist (I did not see her until after I had checked in with the computer) who advised me that breakfast was only available from the other hotel because I had not booked in advance. Hardly a great hardship to walk across the road. The room was clean, warm and quiet. Good value for money. Signposting from the main road was excellent too.

I opted for dinner at the IBIS opposite... ,convenient location, but considering this is France, not great for the price. The staff were polite and friendly. The food... microwaved to order. It was hot and edible... but the vegetables had that soggy microwaved texture. Rare for me to say, but McDonalds would have been better. Breakfast on the other hand was great.

We had stayed at 4 Ibis Budget hotels in the preceding days. This one provided by far the best breakfast. Well done.

The front desk staff person knew English, was kind, and helpful. So grateful for them.

Indoor cycle storage. Close to véloroute. Helpful staff.

Room was a bit basic. Could have used more or better pillows. Privacy issues with the"ensuite" facilities.

Heating not so efficient.

Clean, comfortable, value for money - as expected

Perfect for a nights stay on our way home to the UK.
