The Property is in a fab location if you want to be on top of the nightlife, the rooms are very clean and staff so family, the hotel has so many repeat guests year after year which says it all at this hotel, especially the bar staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, my overall view is I have never stayed in a hotel and met so many friendly staff and guests x

To be honest I can’t finely any fault with this hotel.

Lovely little hotel, very clean room and bathroom, the shower was great - lots of hot water! The kitchenette was perfect for making our own breakfast and having drinks in the fridge. The personnel were very nice and helpful, especially when the a/c in one of our rooms broke down. The hotel is perfectly located in St Lawrence Gap, surrounded by bars/restaurants, and a perfect spot to stay at and a good starting point if you want to explore more of Barbados. We tried the restaurant a couple of times and had some delicious meals. The whole stay exceeded our expectations and we will be back!

Unfortunately there is no beach, but the pool area is really nice overlooking the sea. If you´re lucky, you can get a chair/lounger but noticed that most had been reserved by people putting their towels on the loungers as early as 6:00 am every day, which is pretty pathetic.

This was our second visit to South Gap and we will definitely be back again. Great location on the Gap means you can walk to many good bars and restaurants as well as Dover beach which is fantastic. Junior suite was immaculately clean, well appointed and spacious. The pool deck is great for spending a day on if you don't fancy the beach and to be able to watch the beautiful sunset from your room is a memory we will never forget.

Our only negative was that our confirmation from both the hotel and Booking.com stated that our rate included breakfast yet this was denied when we checked in and we were told it was an error. This was a disappointing response but it wouldn't prevent us from staying there again.

Lovely room with a balcony looking out over the sparkling blue ocean and a large comfortable bed. Also had a small kitchen area with everything you might need if you ever wanted to self-cater (there’s a Massy’s a 15-minute walk away). Bathroom just a little on the small side. Beautiful bar/pool area with very comfortable sun loungers and delicious drinks. Great location in the middle of St Lawrence Gap, surrounded by bars and restaurants, easy walking distance to everything you might need. Amazing staff from reception to bar to restaurant; all super welcoming, friendly, and helpful.

Everything. View from your balcony is worth booking for on it's own as was being able to watch the sunset from the pool deck during happy hour at the bar. Rooms are clean and modern with housekeeping providing a daily service. The kitchenette was nice to have so you could have breakfast or dinner in your room and also to keep your beers cold. All the staff we encountered were genuinely friendly and helpful and there are plenty of good restaurants and bars within walking distance as well as 2 fantastic beaches. If you don't fancy getting sand on your feet then the pool and loungers are great for spending a lazy day at the hotel. Fantastic hotel and we would definitely return.

Bars opposite the hotel are lively so you can hear the music and karaoke in your room. Something to be aware of if you're looking to have an early night but it didn't disturb our sleep.

I had a poached egg , sausage and toast breakfast a few mornings, perfectly presented and perfectly cooked. The sound of the waves crashing on the rocks was wonderful and the deck and pool were really good Staff at reception were lovely and very helpful , and housekeeping did a great job every day. Maintainance of the building is superb. The bar and restaurant staff were really good , and service to the deck chairs was nice

The only thing I missed was a beach , but other than that it was perfect

I loved my stay at the South Gap Hotel. It exceeded by expectations. Staff in the restaurant and bar were amazing as were the cleaning team and the porter on the door. Room was great, really cosy and quiet and had everything I needed. I was there as a single traveller and felt really comfortable. If I get the chance to go to Barbados again, I will definitely be back. Thanks to all the team.

The reception team varied quite a bit, some were extremely helpful (lady with cool glasses on) and others acted like you were an inconvenience.

Excellent location, ample parking space, all rooms have breathtaking views of the ocean. The hotel has its own restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We particularly liked the fact that it also offers healthy options on the menu. All staff members are friendly, nice, and welcoming. We would definitely come back next time we visit Barbados.

The only downside, and basically the only reason we didn’t give the property a 10/10, is the fact that it's opposite a karaoke bar that can be very loud until late at night, especially on weekends. We could still sleep, but it would be ideal if the rooms were better insulated.

The staff was my favorite part of this resort. We travelled to Barbados for my wife’s birthday. The staff went out of their way to ensure that the occasion was memorable. Rose was exceptional, she maintained communication with me before I got to the property. The team was overall excellent!!!!

Only 2 issues for me: 1. We reported an issue with the iron in our room but it was never attended to, it may have been as simple as a miscommunication. 2. I requested lunch at the table outside our room for my wife’s birthday. The table was not set for a birthday celebration.

The location of the hotel was excellent. In walking distance of a wonderful beach (Dover), and of numerous very good restaurants (Tabu and Primo were our favourite). The hotel has a lovely pool, overlooking the waves. Each room has a beautiful view of the sea. Breakfast was excellent!! Bar staff was extremely friendly and funny. The cleaning crew did an amazing job. The airco in the room was silent and 'clean'. And the shower was much better than I had expected - hot and strong water pressure:)

the beds were a bit hard - but that may just be personal preference. Breakfast and snacks were excellent, but dinner could have been better.
