Spa was very pleasant. The staff there were wonderful. Ocean beautiful. Beach waiters were very fast, friendly and efficient. Bar tenders fun. Breakfast staff were helpful. Hotel great location. Cleaning ladies were very amenable to our schedule and very thorough in cleaning. Close to the square with many restaurants. Definitely try the sushi big tray at the hotel beach. The front desk was so helpful in booking the spa and an island boat ride. Suggested Captain Jo's boat rental and it was one of the best we ever have. Captain Andrew was amazing and tailed the boat trip to everything we asked!

Breakfast could have more selection. One towel a day was annoying. Price was a little high for the week but free breakfast and room cleaning made it tenable.

The room was exceptionally comfortable with good facilities; the build in mini kitchen was exceptional. The beach area was well staffed with helpful people who were very pleasant and responsive to meeting guest needs for refreshments, adjustments to the umbrellas and other assistance.

The reception experience was transactional and the staff seemed a focused on what you couldn't do--it just didn't feel that welcoming. It seemed rather silly to have a coupon you had to use daily to get your ration of 2 beach towels. We used the pool area several times and while it was quite functional it was rather uninspired and not that enjoyable.

The breakfast was basically good. Americans like their bacon cooked more and we had a hard time finding some cooked to our liking. The pancakes were good, but waffles would have been a welcome change a few days a week. Loved the fruit and yogurt. I'm not a coffee drinker, but my husband enjoyed the coffee station. And the French bread - yum! Couldn't improve on the bar. Drinks (Rum Runner) were great! Staff was very attentive at the Restaurant. The beach was awesome. The "boys" took care of us for drinks and shade. They also worked hard all day to make everyone's stay on the beach memorable.

Disappointed to find the water wasn't Potable in the rooms. But I realize this may be out of their control. When we stayed here 5 years ago, there were a few instances where the French side of St Martin didn't have water late in the afternoon, but that was only 2 years after the hurricane.

Location is perfect! Right on orient beach! Close to the village -1 minute walk to many restaurants, shopping, the beach, etc! Liked the amenities included such as daily breakfast, swimming pool and complimentary beach chairs.

Bath Towels and bath supplies could be upgraded to more luxurious brands. Towels are thin and not up to par with a 4 star hotel. Breakfast was nice on the beach every morning but could provide more selection of granola, yogurts, etc. overall, a wonderful hotel, nice staff and perfect location.

The resort thought of everything. The room was well thought out, contained everything we needed, was clean, and very comfortable. The restaurant was good, and the breakfast was surprisingly convenient. It's nice to just walk a few feet for breakfast and not have to travel too far right after you wake up. The staff is so helpful without being intrusive. Almost made me want to move to France! Will stay here again, 100%.

Nothing I didn't like. But show people how close the Village is to the resort. I know that information is published on the website, but we didn't realize how convenient La Playa is to all those great restaurants, supermarkets, etc. It's just perfect.

Excellent location at Orient Bay! Loved the property and the location. French side of the island is near some nice restaurants, and beach bars and the windy side of the island. The room was very nice, and the location was excellent. Not a bad place to stay... The beach view was a sliver of beach, but that's to be expected. In actuality, the view was a nice, quiet open area that made for a nice sleeping experience. We could see and hear the ocean, but not a direct view.

The beach chair employees are quick to kick you away, starting before 4:30pm. I think you can stay at the beach longer, but they are just trying to go home, I guess. I get sunburned easily and want to stay later, so this is inconvenient, but I think you can just let them take the cushions, etc if you want to stay longer. Hotel-arranged taxi to the airport was a scam. The hotel itself is a long ways to SXM airport from this side of the island, but that's not an excuse for taxi scams. I would expect better from a taxi arranged by the hotel itself! Need a reservation for restaurants around the area.

We had a wonderful stay. We travelled for the first time with our 2 months old and the staff made sure we had we need. They went above and beyond so we could have a relaxing stay. The location is ideal, right on the beach, 2 minutes walk from stores, bakery and restaurant. We will definitely be back!

Breakfast could have a little variation, with local cuisine options maybe. However I would say that it’s appreciated to have a buffet breakfast.

Perfect location. Good restaurants area. Nice infrastructure of the hotel. Great food at the lunch time. Impressed delicious! Nice beach and nice butler service. Comfortable and clean room.

The breakfast could be much better, every morning the same food which can not be compared with the lunch time. Not bad but needs more salads, vegetables and other meals.

Perfect location right on the beach; nice breakfast, super friendly staff and great rooms; right next to several wonderful restaurants, a minimarket - everything you need. They arrange any tours, rental car, etc. for you at the front desk.

Laundry is expensive, no laundro mats available nearby. Coffee at the restaurant could be better.

The location on the beach and less than a block to multiple great restaurants was the primary reason for selecting La Playa Orient Bay.

The included breakfast was mediocre, the coffee/tea cups were worthless as they transmitted the heat quickly and burned many guests fingers.
