We loved our first visit to Ajaccio, and Hotel Kalliste certainly added to this experience. Stay of four nights. Friendly staff to greet us and, subsequently, help us with local knowledge. Ajaccio is not so big a town that you can't walk from Kalliste to most places including the ferry terminal and the railway station. The hotel is a nice modern conversion of a traditional town centre building. We had a room overlooking the busy street as requested. (But the windows are pretty soundproof and there's air-con.) Lots of nice things for breakfast to set you up for the day's exploring. We had a last-minute extension of our stay which the hotel staff were able to accommodate, to our relief and pleasure.

Fewer chipped mugs at breakfast?

The hotel allows the leaving of bags at reception if you arrive early (THIS IS GREAT). Turned out to be a residence which was separated from the main hotel and lucky for me halved my distance walking down hill (legs don't work too good). It was basically a self contained unit. I made myself some food in the kitchen which was nice. Lift was was great, bathroom great, massive TV with millions of channels.

The bed was a bit bumpy, but when I got used to it I coped alright.

Rooms were large immaculate and modern with very good air conditioning system. The breakfast had a good choice of foods and eggs could be cooked to order. The quiche was delicious. Its positioning is great for the town.

The garage only had half a dozen spaces and with a large 4x4 type car manoeuvring was tight. It is accessed from a narrow side street and there is little clearance (more a fault of the vehicle we were in). We managed so all good but something to be aware of.

Great charming hotel with the spirit of old town, located very close to the center. The beds are very comfortable. The staff is really friendly. We had some requiest which was met instantly. Also the parking option with the partner hotel nearby is super handy!

The room cleaning did not happen every day, we had to place the garbage can in the couloir to make it emptied. The TV channels are quite limited.

Excellent location close to restaurants, bars and caffes between small typical small streets. Close to trip bots. Good breakfast. Hotel is a very nice building made on 1864 with hostoric stone archs. Very helpful and sympathetic staff. If you travel by car don't forget to reserve the parking because they have a small one for just 5 cars.

The street where the parking is located is a little problematic. As that is a blind street sometimes people block the street with their cars. You have to wait that they finish their issue and go in order to enter or to leave the parking.

Great location in the city center, clean well equipped rooms and very convenient laundry room next to the hotel. Also the owner is really friendly and helpful. At walking distance you can find shops, bars, restaurants, pharmacy,... It was a great place to start our holiday after arriving by ferry.

The parking is at 2 minutes walking and although we made a reservation for it, it was full when we arrived/not everyone parked like they should so we didn't have a spot. The location not a deal breaker but not very convenient with a fully packed motorcycle.

the location was ideal for walking to the port and the centre of the city. the triple room was spacious, clean and excellent value for money. Reception staff polite and helpful with booking a taxi

Not really a dislike but there was some traffic noise at night but given the location was acceptable

Really nice location in Ajaccio and very close to the train station: about 5 min walk. Quiet and clean. Very good breakfast: the best for us in a 2 weeks and a half trip. We were upgraded to a bigger room which we appreciated. They order a taxi for us for 5:15 am and easy process! Nice staff.

Room, location, and suite was very good to excellent. Close to restaurants, center, and train station (big plus!)

Didn't like the fact that the entrance to our room was like a motel. There was nothing between the room and the entry to the rooms. A door stood open 24hrs between the rooms and street. In essence, someone off the street could enter and knock on your door pretending to be someone else. At night, the street has a lot of drifters or homelessness, so it isn't too far fetched

The reception staff were amazing. So helpful and friendly and were able to get us into our room a little earlier which was very much appreciated. Loved how the rooms celebrated it's heritage with exposed beams and brick. Very quaint.
