The breakfast was copious and very nice. Very friendly staff. Great location for cycling the canal de Bourgogne and the nearby famous abbey Le Fontenay. Big bonus that there was a restaurant with this property for a nice affordable meal.

Room was a bit small and dark (room was viewing the back). Bed's comfort was ok. But the price was right for what I paid for. No other comments.

The restaurant was good, staff friendly and the location good as we were on our way home. It was a hot day so good to have air con.

The room was tiny.

When we arrived at the hotel at 15.15ish when the temperature was 34 degrees there was a Ferme (closed) sign on the gate. There was a sign on the door with 2 contact numbers. I left voicemails on both. I tried to contact Booking.com. Got a Dutch service. No good. After half an hour in the heat we decided we couldn't hang around any more. We left messages again on both contact numbers to say we were sorry but would have to move on. While driving to find other accommodation we had a call from the hotel. They were very rude, said it was impossible we were there as they had just finished serving lunch. They refused a refund. It was a very hot day and maybe they were tired. It was such a pity because it looked a nice place and the dining room and terrace were all set up for dinner and looked inviting. Booking.com have been very unhelpful. Several agents hung up on me when it was obvious a problem beyond their script. Customer service is a ploy to deter people from contacting them. An agent in the Philippines said she called the hotel but they didn't respond. As she couldn't speak French. All in all a bad experience and the complaint handled appalling badly by both hotel and Booking.com.
