The castle and the grounds are quite simply breathtaking. The architecture and decoration, inside and out is delightful, the grounds are very well kept despite the huge size. The rooms were such a fantastic change from the anonymous places we have sometimes stayed. Huge size, beautiful, tasteful decoration. The owners/hosts were warm and welcoming in every sense, genuinely trying to help us in every way: for example, they brought forward the breakfast time so that we could get to our wedding on time and bringing me up an iron and table to get our clothes ready.

Nothing. Everything was perfect and way, way above our expectations.

Stunning Château, with large, peaceful, well kept grounds, and a great swimming pool. The owner, and staff, were so friendly and helpful. We stayed 3 nights, and enjoyed every minute of our time there. Breakfast was v good, with a nice selection to choose from. The town is a touch too far to walk to the local restaurants, but just a few minutes by car ( or motorbike in our case ! ) . We hope to visit again in the near future.

We loved everything about our short stay. The reception put up with our late arrival and recommended an excellent local restaurant . “To put the icing on the cake. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic.” All was presented hygienically, all food covered or wrapped. The coffee was superb. I’m not filling in dislikes, there were none. Loved every second. Definitely return for a longer stay.

Place in need of some updating but I suppose too aggressive a job would have destroyed the charm of the place. We were there in early May and it was still cool and damp outside and in fact it was raining the day we were there. This probably took a little sheen off the place. Hosts were accommodating and friendly. It was a pretty good value for the money but the place could sparkle with a little cash infusion.

Superb chateau from top to bottom. Large rooms. Large beds which are very comfortable. Hosts super nice breakfast is good value and plentiful Pool is perfect for doing nothing or swimming in the warm waters. Within 3 or 4 beach resorts after a short drive.

Apparently drinks are available in the evening but we missed that on the documentation. However we bought our own in Would have been nice to have some basic food in the evenings but it’s not planned.

Beautiful building and grounds, yes some areas looked like they needed repair but thought this added to the charm of the building. Staff were great always attentive. Pool area and patio were great. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of food.

Only down side was no food available on an evening but menus for food delivery available from reception.

This property is gorgeous and a real treat to have stayed in such a beautiful building. The owners are fabulous hosts. Nothing was any trouble. I arrived and asked about using the pool. It was immediately made available for me to use. I had always wanted to stay in a Chateau and this did not disappoint. Our room was amazing.

Peaceful secluded location, lovely building and grounds, swimming pool, tennis court and extensive grounds to walk in. Storks on the roof provided extra enjoyment! Good breakfast and very friendly staff. Comfortable and cosy room. Safe storage for our bikes.

Very good breakfast for the price. Very comfortable chairs in breakfast room. Amazingly comfortable bedding. Birdwatching opportunities, especially seeing the cranes in their nests and baby hoopoes.

A restaurant and bar, particularly in the evening, would have been lovely. We wouldn’t have gone out in the evening!!

Stunning, unspoilt chateau in a lovely location. Bed was very comfortable.

A great shame that there is no longer a restaurant on site. Would have been nice to have had tea/coffee facilities in our room.
